** The Diadora Thread ** - Concepts "Rat Pack" N9000

People are finally buying wat they like not wats forced or jus cause it's limited anymore an people gettin broke too lol

That's too much for this shoe, really, made in Italy or not. $160 sounds fair. Too bad they won't hit sale/coupon code.

Saved $25 ordering from Europe but the peace of mind ordering from Kith or EB would have been worth it, shouldn't have jumped the gun. I have such a hard time gauging the hype on stuff like this anymore.

Tried them on at kith. No toe dents. Nice shape. Fits maybe a bit more tts than n9000. Nice shoe

kendrick lamar vents is proof of that.

Peeped the S8000 ER yesterday at Footpatrol...even tried on a pair (no toe dents that I could see btw)...but they weren't doing it for me, limited or not. Shoe is just kinda...I don't know...bland.  It simply doesn't grab me, especially in the face of all of these other mint/teal kicks that have dropped of late.  Oh well, money saved.  I did like the mini key ring though!

In any event....

N9000 "Espresso Ristretto"  >>>>> S8000 "Espresso Ristretto"...and it's not even close.

Now, I do have a recent Diadora purchase to share.  Grabbed these from Packer during their recent 50% off sale.  Bellissimo!

the heritage line ***** on most collabs in terms of quality. when i saw them in hand I was very impressed with the materials and overall construction of the shoes. for example the colonel blue (ones that look like the patta 1) was better than any diadora collab I have owned (ferro's, italia's, tr2).

makes me wonder why the hell they're slacking on the QC on the collabs.

Debating copping the S8000 for a while now.
I know @ThreeGeees
liked em, but would love to hear some more reviews.
The side panel is outrageous, the way they did the logo and the craftsmanship is A1. Stitching all perfect, no glue marks, has a really sturdy feel.

What stopped me is that it's a lot of sport mesh for a $200 shoe, and the suede on it is honestly very coarse and average. Like, grainy. So I think it's an awesome shoe at 130, an good shoe at 150, an ok shoe at 175, and a mistake at 200 plus.

This is from checking them out in store at extra butter LES.

Thanks for those pricing opinions.  Just from seeing the pics online I was thinking the same, but there's nothing like having them in hand or on foot to really know.  They look like a nice shoe, but nowhere close to a $200 shoe.
