Failure then, a classic car now.

I kind of like these and I don't evevn like Dunks much. Box looks great as well.

^ I don't necessarily agree that it is a classic car now. I don't see people clamoring to buy that Delorean from the 80's

Well then you obviously don't know anything about DeLoreans. Try doing some research online before you go speaking that nonsense.

^ Oh, I must have forgotten where I am. The land of NT where everyone is an expert on everything and dissenting opinions don't know squat. So, what? It's supposed to be a classic car because there aren't many left now? FOH.

So many people are trying to resell these. 1000 pairs made and over 100 of them are on eBay? SMH...

The Delorean is iconic for being the creation of a man who looked around him at is his options for cars and the way business was being handled and said...."I'm going to do something different and better" The original design for a lot of things with this car did not make production due to the age it was being birthed in (the 80's had new and strict emissions standards limiting power over here...john delorean designed a turbo version that rode close to 5 sec 0-60 only a few car reviews had the pleasure of driving) DMC was a brand new company that over came many new hurdles and introduced a new type of car manufactoring that a lot of company's took note and improved upon later. The idea behind a the Delorean is that anyone who worked hard could experience the "celeb" factor that you get driving some of the more (at the time) un-attainable exotic and rare cars in its day. Like I stated me and my father purchased a fixer upper back in 1999 from the Marathon Key's in south florida (we lived in sacramento ca @ the time) and its BEEN A $%%+$ AND A HALF to get it where it is now..If you go the route we did...all I have to say you really have to love the car on all levels to own one but....once you do (lol and its finally running)...man its fun! Imagine skipping school just to go home to steal the keys to your dad's delorean just to drive up to school on the last day and pop game at the females you holla at in class and park right in front of the school and chill with some XI cool greys (this is 2001 mind you not to be confused with anything recent for some of you newbie NTs) with the doors up like I was puffy in a lambo people went nut and the girls loved it! Looks are everyones opinion but its not as boxy in person as everyone makes it out to be...the curves are subtle but awesome and when its polished to perfection..school starts calling you into the office because "your" car is blinding people at the turning intersection!
smile.gif
LOL I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A LICENSE! (my drivers ed teach always wanted to check my wallet though I had a fake DL for beer purposes) That was just one day with the delorean..as far as performance its fun and fast on the highway because its light (not quick as nimble or locked in as say a corvette from say 1978 (my fathers OTHER car...but that's another story completely!) but very similar. I remember I race by boys Iroc camero and WON! ......he stalled out at the light though!
roll.gif
I have been very blessed to experience this car in my life and the reason I wrote so much is just cause I want you guys to get a taste of what I feel when I look and get behind the wheel of this thing...fear...happiness...tickets (man cops couldn't leave me alone back then and that was BEFORE THEY KNEW IT WAS AN 18 old Black and Nicaraguan kid driving!) I 80% of the time its hella fun to drive and own this car and more than justifies the classic car title even before the door is opened! Nowadays you really catch people off guard with these because its a car that's never on a lotta peoples minds...sure its not the fastest but there are plenty of options to improve upon that nowadays especially at the DMC HQ in here in houston. It's not everyones taste sure (newer cars are a much more reasonable choice as like I said this car is sensitive) but one of my favorites!

Uh but yeah I'm not paying 300+ for a pair these....damn a Medicom SB retro with the dmc logo and tailight sole would have been much better.

EDIT: Man I really gotta take my time on these long posts...grammar... spelling..sux....
