The Combat Jack Show Thread

Folks playing stupid.

He walked away from almost every business situation he had with it ending on some negative ****

It’s okay because he does it for #TheCreators

He was just on Complex with B Dot and his show is on Spotify

Does this mean that he DIDN'T have deals that ended badly w/ those companies?

90% of his fans were convinced one of those companies launched a smear campaign on him not too long ago and so was he.

Besides his beef with Em and Shady, how do we know how any of his deals ended?

What about Mona and L&HH, Amazon, E1..

Since you called out Complex and Spotify...let's stay on those. Has Joe not been EXTREMELY candid about both of those situations? From what he himself has put out there...is the public supposed to deduce that they ended amicably? If you accuse a company of launching a smear campaign against you...is it not safe to say that deal ended badly?

but he was just back at Complex and not banned from their campus

and he could have kept his pod off Spotify if he wasn't getting a check from them 🤷‍♂️

Have you guys ever thought Joe embellishes for content and not every situation might not have ended as badly as you thought. He associates with Lyor, LA Reid, Kevin Liles and Jay. They would have no reason to associate with dude.

Same with him and Puff since he's not getting any Revolt checks currently.

Dude went on a literal month long rant for weeks with the Spotify **** :lol

Assuming this is just for #content too? even though it’s a random IG live Not on his channel :lol

The tweet don't mean he ruined those companies. He ruined the relationship he had every single place he's done business.
But I mean you can say that about a lot of ppl like Puff.

If your gonna make that list Mal looks even crazier for being his friend for so long.

Yes it definitely was.

He was being the independent creator fighting the Goliath companies that were trying to own his creative productivity.

That was a huge narrative.

If Joe truly ruined all those relationships why would more ppl and businesses keep working with him?

Usually and especially in the music business if someone is that toxic they get blackballed.

Because Joe can be a convincing character. Tax said it years ago that he’s a manipulator.

We can only speculate though. All that shouting, moving the goalpost, and being able to convince people that he’s speaking from a creative place of passion has likely lead a few businesses to give him a chance… which he then misuses.

And to the point of him being blackballed, he practically was. Being dropped from labels, having albums shelved, etc. suggests that the industry wasn’t ******* with him. I remember the times where he was wild disgruntled by the time he released his last album. The podcast really was his saving grace.

Then the man is a legend and shame on any dumbass that works for or with him.

This we agree on.

I’m on the same page as people calling for Mal and Rory to either lawyer up or shut up and move on. It’s been years, no one really cares but the 3 of them. Either accept responsibility for their individual parts, settle it like men, or dead it for good.

that tax interview is legendary...i don't know if anyone is necessarily convinced of the place buddenss'ssss purported convictions/passions come from but rather & more likely they recognize/see his ability/talent/willingness to convey these things the way he does

I was about to say dude was blackballed after his first album.

None of us know for sure, we don't have any paperwork but based on his history Rory and Mal seem very believable. I still listen to Joe's show but we should the deal with him by now.

I'm not surprised. Math wanted group discussion, but then wanted to dictate every ounce of the conversation. Each of the guys have unique relationships with some of the guests, and sometimes that lead to side convos and references and Math sometimes appeared annoyed when he wasn't involved. The writing was on the wall.

Yeah I know Esso was wild extra, but sometimes his relationship with people was leading the convo in an interesting direction and Math stops it for something less interesting to control the flow he wants.
