The funny thing is, most of Kevin Harts peers heap praise to him If you don’t like Kevin Hart, people will look at you crazy.

Tyler Perry gets wayyyyy more hate than Kevin Hart. Spike Lee hates Tyler Perry because he (Spike Lee) dropped the ball. Spike was out here releasing a movie every 5-7 years like bruh, you are alienating your fans by not releasing material. Tyler Perry had stuff in motion and he was putting other people on, and helping along the way. Spike lost his hunger or must’ve gotten writers block. Tyler Was always was working. Spike got bitter because he thought no one could take his spot. And I love Spike.

I use the Floyd Mayweather analogy as it pertains to Kevin Hart. Sugar Ray Leonard is pound for pound the greatest middleweight/lightweight in MY opinion. I’m not knocking what Floyd did but Sugar Ray Leonard is my favorite boxer of all time and it’s not gone change.

You don’t need anymore Do The Right Things or Clockers if you have 2-3 Diary of a Mad Black Woman‘s or Why Did I Get Married’s for probably less money lol. And it’s very obvious that Kev Hart is naturally/situational funny….but he wh0red himself out to Hollywood for the super easy bucks, and lost out on critical acclaim of a comedian in the process. And people rightfully called that what it was.

He’s pivoting to the more adult content now. I’m sure a more “edgy” and “darker” + “funny” standup is in the works.

Ironically, “Girl 6” and “Bamboozled” were just that

I bet spike had NO issues with Martin Lawrence, or Eddie Murphy dressing up as women, perpetuating our stereotypes or guys like Wesley Snipes doing “Too Wong Foo”.

Spike dropped the ball. Simple as that. And I’m more of a Spike, John singleton, Hughes Brother fan over Tyler. But Tyler made his mark. He capitalized off dudes like Spike Lee being content/comfortable.

Plenty of Spikes peers pushed those same stereotypes that you spoke about… but I bet spike ain’t speak a word. Spike was dead a*** wrong. Especially when he’s from that era where a lot of black directors, actors, etc. where trying to be accepted by white people.

Clifton Powell even spoke. Spike fumbled the rock, he got too comfortable, and he got took. That’s all it was. I bet spike wouldn’t speak down on Oprah who is also guilty of a lot of the same stuff he criticizes Tyler for.

Spike feels you have a higher responsibility to us, instead of continuing to put out and promote minstrel material. That was the point of Bamboozled. And is Tyler Perry empowering anyone or putting young writers and film makers on? No, he's bragging about filming movies in 10 days and writing them in a weekend. And it shows.

Kev came up with the old cellar crew with Patrice and Burr and them and was funny as hell.
Currently, his specials and movies don’t do it for me. He figured out the formula to maximize his income though and works his *** off so credit to him for that.
Hope he drops something like the old days soon.
