Definitely not the case. Channing been doing media for a long time. Fred Taylor been respected and IMO will be a HOFer eventually. Dude is nasty on the field. Channing was going on ESPN wellllll before Ryan even had a job there. It’s not necessarily about which POD is better, it’s just about preference. Me HAVING been a Fred Taylor fan since a kid (he’s from Belle Glade, Florida which is 40 mins away from me) he’s always been connected. He went to UF also.
I’ve NEVER liked Brandon Marshall. Even during his playing days. He’s just never been like able to me. Chad Johnson always has been cool to me. But B Marsh, I use to watch the I Am Athlete like damn, I f*** with everyone on here EXCEPT Brandon Marshall
Ryan didn’t make the Pivot. He’s a good dude too. But people have always dealt with Fred and Channing. They both have always been very popular in South Florida. Which is a haven for athletes of all sports.

I would NEVER utter those words. Black folks argue more about crips and bloods or baby mamas/baby daddy’s….. but never use that same energy when it comes to ownership of our culture. That’s the bottom line. B Marshall got sympathy looks because he was one of the first athletes to talk about his depression and the fact that he took medication for his mental issues.

Both Podcast are based in FLORIDA…. But the “world” is bigger than South Florida? There’s a reason both Pods are shot here. Do you know how many athletes train or call Florida home?? Dudes literally can base interviews around who’s in town training and whatnot.
Again, YOU may not have none Channing Crowder but he also went to the University of Florida (made connections) played for the Dolphins and again, has connections.

I see both sides of what they were arguing. Adam's platform certainly monetizes "negativity" and he danced around that. He's also 100% a culture vulture who snaked the NoJumper brand from his former business partner.
On the flip side...so ******* what No Jumper promotes negativity? Welcome to America. So does Sony, Universal, and Warner. The ENTIRE reward system for black music is controlled by companies where a white person sits at the top of the pyramid. The most powerful person in that room Bobby Shmurda was sliding across tables for was LA Reid...and guess who he answered to?
There's also an extreme exaggeration on the impact that these guys have on what they're promoting. It was always completely ridiculous to suggest that Akademiks was literally causing violence in Chicago. ****** on here love to talk about how rap music doesn't make people kill people...so I can't fathom how we'd think that streamers are causing people to kill people.
It's one of the biggest cognitive dissonances in society to me how the morality kicks in surrounding this culture.....only when the music isn't playing. Ice might be older than Adam and is a HUGE fan of Drill music and talks about it all the time...but I guess it's different when he's just talking about the "music".
We'll celebrate a King Von for his "music"...but damn the white blogger for asking him about the 12 "opps" he's "smoking on" in the music. I've also seen more than a few of those Trap Lore Ross vids in here...so clearly we understand the idea of consuming content from parties we don't "agree with".
At the end of the day...just like Adam said...it's a mutually beneficial arrangement the artists have with these guys. They WANT and NEED access to the Ak's, the Adam's, and the Vlads' platforms.

I NEVER said people shouldn’t support Brandon. All I said was there’s groups of people who may not like Brandon and probably would pick a side and jump ship. And vice versa. Some dudes may not like Fred or Channing. It’s OKAY.
I clearly said Brandon was a hell of a receiver and he probably will end up in the HOF but based of me following his career (which I have since 2007) there’s people who don’t like dude.
As far as location, look. Chad, Fred are from Florida and played here professionally, Channing and B Marshall both played here collegiately and professionally… all I’m saying is all four brothers are friends/connected to a lot of the guys that they interview. Florida produces a LOTTTTT of professional athletes. That’s all I’m saying. If you don’t understand that, cool.
Some of these guys have 10-15-20 years worth of relationships with some of these guests

not sure i’d agree to the former 2 points, but the latter is definitely true…there are critiques, ways of moving, & questions that adam & vlad can ask that would be taking much differently if we’re another black person…

I think it’s moreso that I Am Athlete had a really really unique/good thing going, B Marshall messed it up with the NASCAR and side content for the quick bread and people were hungry for that same vibe. The Pivot boys came in immediately with the quality guests and Channing doing his best Freaky Charlamagne impersonation giving them the viral clips lol

It’s actually amazing no one has touched Akademiks considering all that he brought into the culture…A large part of this “no taking L’s” culture is because of people trying to replicate what he did with Chicago nationwide. And the culture, while we think he’s a dweeb, we generally let him transition into his current media position.
