The Combat Jack Show Thread

This is funny

and

IMO I sort of understand what Joe was saying, but it's a relatable topic and add the beat and it takes it to another level.

I thought he sounded out of place, but I thought it was cool he didn't try to copy Juvenile's style. It was far from wack.

Which episode was the Juvenile, Drag, Jay and X talk? Was that all the same episode? I enjoy hearing Joe and Mal talk about 90s Hip Hop, they rarely do it.

I feel like Mal don’t **** with Rory for real. **** kinda funny

***** you just don’t **** with Rory.

But it’s the last episode. They called Van about halfway thru. Van wasn’t putting them on game from a Louisiana ***** perspective.

Nah, y'all know I don't. I've seen a few episodes, his body language is like we both cool with Joe so we cool but not like that. His energy way different with Joe than it is with Rory.

I'm watching the last episode now, I heard Van talk a little on his podcast with Mal. He was putting me to sleep, seem like dweeb.

Mal seem like he don't **** none of them sometimes. It's not serious. That's just how he is I guess. Every time Joe bring up him dealing with women he sound like he bout to stab him.

The breakdown of How’s It Goin Down was funny. That verse is wild though. That song is such a classic. I dead played that **** at my wedding.

Jay’s verse on Ha Remix was dope. It was out of place tho. Never heard him on a song like that and his quality sounded different. Sounded like someone added his verse like they used to do on Napster. I always HATED that Juvenile didn’t get a verse on Snoopy Track. I hated that he was just the hook.

Juvenile verse on Down Bottom was hard. Joe wylin, flow was dope with that beat. **** was serious, song is still going off.

Funny Joe played that Dave Hollister record. Swear I’ve been playing that song once a day for the last two weeks.

Mal is 100% ******* with multiple chicks from the Bronx
You can tell by the way he talks that he’s running game on some uptown chicks who don’t know about each other.
All that “I’m not having sex” stuff is part of his schtick. Son definitely has a Rican joint he’s selling dreams to.

Facts. But the ***** Magic just looking for a Hov feature when he comes back to rapping.

Magic33 Magic33 you not slick my guy  :smokin . We seen you say you’d never do LnHH again and now you’re back. We been peeping your moves testing the waters with that one sleeper track and then trying to bait Em into a battle. Now you got Hov references left and right after he said you was Shawn Bradley. :smokin

Sidebar: listening to Blueprint 2 right now. The disrespek from when Jay says Nas’s name like “Nass” is under-appreciated in hip hop.

I was a heavy Nas fan at the time and I definitely remember laughing pretty hard when I heard that

What's with Mal and his love of Turkey69. They way he rides for him is weird.

I found the statement from the police odd, but I wonder if Ebro or Hot 97 inquired about it. Mainly if the rumors were true. Because it has been mostly a social media and blog thing. That would have made sense, other wise it would be gossip.

And with Ak, they have to remember he's not the typical 28 year old. He wasn't Turkey's OG. He was just happy a rapper was cool with him. He saw it as being beneficial to both, because he got attention and hits and Turkey got the trolling attention he wanted to help build his brand. He was just as enamored with everything as Turkey. Rory is expecting too much of him.

Word. It’s wild to think of how Drink Champs went from being highly anticipated to such an afterthought. Drunk Nore is unbearable. EFN a cornball. The stories that guests were willing to tell seemed to be leading to some pretty dope hip hop insights, but Nore cut cats off left and right.

I’m cool. Even on guests I’d legit want to hear from, I pass because of Nore.

Nore hasn't even really been drinking on the past few I've listened too.

I think the main thing about podcast is consistency like Combat used to say. Once you lose that, I stop depending on you. I have set days when I listen to certain podcast. There's so many options out here. Once you get out of my rotation, it's out of sight out of mind.

The one this week is pretty cool. Nore is mad biased towards Nas though. He mentioned Snoop earlier, but didn't bring up Doggystyle, because that's a better comparison than The Chronic.

Watched the Timb Drink Champs, it was cool since i'm a beat junkie and he's one of the goats. But yeah i'm not checking for it like that anymore. First episodes were nuts though, when I first learned of it I couldn't get enough hip hop stories.

I *** with the Talib and Dead Prez episode. I used to be a big Talib fan from Black Star to Quality. Not really a fan of Twitter activist Kweli, he spends way too much time and energy sparring with trolls. I started the Gibbs episode, haven't finished.

Also sidenote

Mal knows damn well he's homophobic as hell :rollin all 3 of them. All the podcasters I listen to from the NY are extra with the homophobic tendencies. They can't hide that **** :lol
