If you're rebuilding i'm not sure how attractive a rookie with mercenary tendencies is despite the obvious talent.

The funny thing is - if he was 100% in this, they could make a deep run in March. This ain’t some super bum squad without him

Where Peterson lands is going to be super interesting.

There's a bunch of teams in the lottery with star players or legit 1st/2nd options.

Given how capable he's looked I wonder if he'll be content not being the guy straight away if he lands on Indy, Utah, Washington etc.

His camps strategy makes zero sense and the more antics they push on him the more the national media is catching on. IMO, this is clearly on him more than it is on Self. What is he supposed to do? Call out DnP and then burn any bridges he might have with adidas and or future '1 and dones'. In some ways I feel bad for DnP because it looks like he wants to play but his agent and handlers are the one calling the shots.

Plays 40 minutes on a sprained ankle (legit) on a Tuesday night in a 'really' meaningless game against CU but on Big Monday, at home, against #1 Zona he can't go because of the sniffles.

Doubt it, you’d risk top recruits considering Kansas if they do anything crazy with Peterson

I agree with if he’s struggling to stay fit just shut it down and focus on the NBA.

Damn. He wildin pulling himself up only 13 in with nearly the whole second half left. Don’t think it’ll give teams pause. They wouldn’t want to miss out on the talent he’s projected to be. Tell yourself he just doesn’t want to tear anything which will result in him dropping in the draft. Then tell yourself he’ll ball on his rookie deal because he’ll want a max deal.


But yeah. He’d be done if that happened on multiple occasions. Cant depend on him. Might as well get his backup accustomed to playing the important games left.

This is nothing. Self already had Josh Selby and Cliff Alexander. Kansas is currently leading for the kid Stokes in the 2026 class
