The College Basketball Post

Why would I want him? Lol, really? Besides being the best player in the country, he'd be on my team and not anyone else's... Alex Poythress can take a ******g seat.
i dont understand this. Alex Poythress isnt even bad, could be a lottery pick if you guys would try to actually develop him. This whole "if he isnt a superstar his first year in college then he's awful" attitude you UK fans have is outrageous.
Get outta here.
what does this mean? Were you not excited about Poythress last year before the season started? You didnt think he'd do well?

and you're pretty much stuck with him now since Wiggins is at KU.

You know I'm good, G. :hat

I like Alex, wanted him back. hell, wanted Archie back. I ain't that guy.

just didn't want to have to play against HIM. :x

I'm just happy he's not in the ACC... I'll take the 1 game early in the season as opposed to in feb :lol :hat

KU lineup prolly looking like off the top of my head:

G- Tharpe
G- Selden
F- Wiggins
F- Ellis
C- Embiid

G- Frankamp
F- Greene
G- Rio Adams

Spot on to what I was thinking but Rio Adams is no longer with the program so I would put Andrew White III in that spot.

Just like He Got Game...

Dude probably ended up in a dorm room with the Gonzalez Twins...

Not bad but pretty much a whole new squad from last year. Will be interesting to say the least, pretty much every bit as young as UK is this year.

I don't follow college basketball/high school recruiting as heavy as most of you so I honestly think I've seen only about two of these guys play besides Wiggins. Could that squad be a title contender this year? Kansas must have gave this kid some serious $$$$$....don't have a clue how he didn't even up at Kentucky, UNC or FSU.

That's a team with A LOT OF TALENT. But if I had to lay money down right now... I would say MSU.

This. KU has a ton of potential, same with UK but MSU has PROVEN, battle tested talent and they are coached by one of the best in the game.

Nike can't be happy today, that's for sure.

(not that it really matters a year from now, but still).

I actually like Tharpe...thought he gave hem a boost last year at times over Elijah. Still has to improve a lot to get to championship level so I agree but that's that's a lot of guys.

I'm a big fan of Tharpe actually. He was in the dog house for Self for a while, but towards the end of the year he started getting good minutes and helped them out. I would expect him to improve a lot and be one of the better PG in that league.

Ellis was polished as a frosh so he too should become a lot better. I have no clue on their C position but if whoever gets significant minutes at that spot can just defend and make layups they should win that league.

I would expect that position to be Landen Lucas's since he has been in the program for a year now, practicing and working out with Hudy. I think he will hold down that spot until Emiid is ready to start. How long that takes I'm not sure. Emiid is freakishly talented but that doesn't necessarily mean that translates into playing time in Self's system.
