The College Basketball Post

Stanley is the better player now, Oubre has the higher ceiling. Either way those are two favorite incoming players, should be nice watching them develop through the year.

Stanley Johnson is a Power 3 with a high motor. Offensively, he reminds me of Shabazz Muhammad at the same stage...with less range.

Oubre has more potential. Honestly...nobody in that class other Mudiay excites me...and he'll be in china this season smh

When do they announce the gameday stops?  Hoping they're in Ames when KU comes to town.

I really like Arkansas, I'd be surprised if they don't finish in the top 25. Ky Madden can slide to the off guard with the arrival of point guards Jabril Durham and Anton Beard :hat

That squad would be a contender if they had one more frontcourt player to go with the sophomores (Portis and Kingsley).

Portis is an ATH-ELITE.

I'm just curious, what about Stan reminds you of Bazz?

I've seen Stan play on multiple occasions...and Shabazz is very similar. Don't forget how dominant Bazz was in HS and everyone on here was slurping him.

They are very strong SF's with ideal shooting guard height, but not the ball handling ability. 6'6 220ish and Similar athletes too.

Both are good athletes...not jump out the gym ones...but strong with explosive moves here and there. Add to the fact that they have a knack for putting the ball in the whole and using their bodies...and that's what I see.

Of course right now Stan is the better defensive player...but it's not ridiculous at all to see a comparison between him and Shabazz Muhammed.

Third best team in the SEC or too optimistic?

I agree,Uk has lost 3 in row to them :{ I guess the top 5 would be UK,Florida,Arkansas,LSU,and Missouri maybe.
Agreed, I'm with you. I've historically enjoyed watching Mizzou, but replacing Clarky and Brown is a tough task. That's a lot of scoring those two players accounted for. Jabari went on an offensive tear when Clarkson cooled. Kim Anderson will be forced to lean on MGC as a true freshman.
