Did a 50 miler today, been a while. Feeling sluggish but glad I got through it.

Those are Giro shoes right? How does the sock-like sleeve feel? Soccer cleats have been doing that for a while and i HATED the ones i tried.

Longest ride so far 25 miler

Your saddle is on limp mode, you need to get it excited.

Completed the ride I had been training for yesterday. What a beast but was an absolute blast. Coming back down the mountains on the way back was such a great payoff.

Yup Giro, tbh I can't really feel the sock like thing. Love these shoes in general tho, I had some old *** cycling shoes before this that really had no form left. These made a huge difference.

This week ordered a new jersey and just now ordered shorts too they’ve been out of stock recently. Got the Rapha core shorts that I like. I need to throw out a few pairs that are getting worn out.

I like wool jerseys but my only short sleeved one is black and it’s a bit much this time of year - even this far north. I ordered the lightweight version in yellow - ventilated stripes and side panels. Couldn’t do white as that will end up with marks on it but the yellow seems sensible.

New helmet and sunglasses day

I needed brain protection ASAP since i gave my Kask to my sister when i bought her that single-speed bike. Unfortunately i bought the wrong size of the helmet i wanted, and now it's on backorder until August. I could not wait a few months so I went ahead and bought this Giro. The white compliments these Oakleys i bought about a month ago.

Gimme some context of the ride, are there a lot of climbs with brutal gradients? Did you stop frequently during the ride?

6 hours is a long time to just cover 44 miles

In fact here’s a better pic of the helmet shield combo. Love it because I wear glasses and it allows me to wear them under it. I had to buy a smaller pair of glasses to fit but it works and it’s great. I’ve never been a contacts guy so that’s why I’ve never bought riding glasses.

I actually felt the difference immediately when I bought it. I mean it didn't raise my average by 2mph, but I definitely felt less resistance in strong headwinds and when pushing hard on the flats. So it was a welcome improvement.

Man, that’s excellent. Great work. I’m shooting for 4K for the whole year. Currently at 1,800 for the year. So still have plenty of time. And living in San Diego I have all year to make it happen.

Quick first ride in the new Canyon. Felt great, I’m super sore and the heat is brutal today but bike feels way better than what I previously had. Saddle is different tho so my *** gotta get use to it.
