****THE 300 WORKOUT!!!!****

duno if this has been posted before but i tried this workout today...you have to do these as fast as possible

25 pull ups
50 deadlifts at 135lbs
50 push ups
50 box jumps 22"
50 floor sweepers
50 clean and press with 36lb kettlebell
25 pull ups...


Apparently the cast of 300 did this workout to see the progress they had made or whatever...apparently the big persian ****** king clocked the best time forcompleting the workout.

Let me tell you, i am no spartan

i reached my limit after an hour (good times for this are below 20mins!) i got to rep 287....If my life depended on it, i cudnt have made that next pull up

foreal this workout is a bastard! Everything is seizing up as i type this, but itfeels good...body feels cleansed almost

Ima definetly keep doin this until i crack20mins! then i can grow a mean beard and walk round in underpants and choncletas!!!

and if i remember correctly they didnt start the actors off with this..but this was the last leg of workouts they hadthem do
 
yeah i think your right, this was like some final test kinda *%++....

and 25 pull ups is a PROBLEM! wide grip aswel

Exactly....you gotta build up to get to that point. Unless you are in pretty good shape to begin with, I would modify this workout big time. Youare setting yourself up for failure if you think you can just jump into doing this. It's a challenging workout, and you should make sure your body is intip-top condition before even attempting it.

Exactly....you gotta build up to get to that point. Unless you are in pretty good shape to begin with, I would modify this workout big time. You are setting yourself up for failure if you think you can just jump into doing this. It's a challenging workout, and you should make sure your body is in tip-top condition before even attempting it.
true story...

Thing is, i was under the impression i was in pretty good shape already. I work out regular etc etc....i knew it would be tough but i thought i'd manage.i underestimated the workout badly

lemme me tell ya...it looks bad on paper but its worse real life. If your core isn't solid you aint doin 50 floorsweepers, not a ++@*%* chance!

it says 50 but you have to kick left then right for 1 rep, so in effect its more like a 100.
 
No way were the actors started off with this. Something like that takes months of training.

... most iever done was 33 pull up ...after a 3 mile run and 100 situp and my body was already drained ....those were my USMC PFT days...another 25 pull up would be

you know what, i think we need to make a S&T group goal.

we all should be able to do this by the summer. or at least some lesser variation of this same workout.

anybody else with me on this.

there are a bunch of liars on NT...there would be a lot of tall tales...I dunno if that would work.

thas tre. but i think we all would need to have a video of it & with pictures of the end result of all the hard work. Ill probably make athread about it soon.

But any NTer that wants to do this with me just quote my original post about it or reply in the thread. we can discuss it further in this thread.

that takes CGI, good genetics, and a strict freaking diet.
 
Im almost positive my body would just give up and die on me if i were to try to do that workout in under 30 minutes.

Very true, and you DONT want to look like the guys in the movie. They werent in good health during the movie and ended up being in even worseshape once filming ended.
