Why everyone keep saying DMC is the best center in the NBA right now? I thought AD is the best Center right now? or even Marc Gasol.

The funny thing is Okafor is arguably a slightly better prospect than DMC when he was coming out.
I think people forget how DMC transformed his body, shot selection, quickness, DEFENSE, fouling, and temper. This was a guy who was overweight, couldn't shoot, turnover prone, horrible on defense, shot 43% from the field and had an even worse attitude. His first 3 years weren't too good. Look at him now.
If I'm the Kings, I'd be optimistic at the prospect of getting Okafor. He has less to work on and a high floor with a still high ceiling.
