I'm just surprised the clips have been able to pull these moves off considering we had virtually no money.

Gm doc and co. Have been pretty creative
You don't need money when you sign knuckleheads and grandpas. Just weed and donuts.

I hope the Clippers and Spurs meet in Round 1 again.  I will take a Round 2 as well.

Clippers > Spurs in Round 1 or 2

Clippers aren't scared anymore.

At the risk of sounding like I'm trying to "spin" things we have to see how this plays out first. Definitely a talent upgrade over last year but they have to fit. If the bench stinks up the joint then it is what it is

Not to mention the Spurs got better, the thunder still are there, the warriors are in our division, I mean...we'll see what happens.
The bench should be good enough to not be a detriment. With that starting lineup (adding PP) they should be fine

Of course Spurs, Thunder and Warriors are the huge threats but the Clippers aren't too far behind them depth wise

So we gonna act like the Clippers had max money this off season to better than what they've done so far? I guess they were supposed to go on an imaginary spending spree and sign LMA, Monroe, Love, Monta, and Rondo too.

Eric Rosenthal @ericsports

Umm...

Austin Rivers FG% 40.9 3PT% 29.8

Lance Stephenson FG% 37.6 3PT% 17.1

Josh Smith FG% 41.9 3PT% 31.6

Jamal Crawford FG% 39.6 3PT% 32.7

Not at all, I actually think the clippers are right there now with them from a roster perspective.

I'm just saying that this doesn't pencil the clips into the wcf or a championship or anything.

Health, luck, match ups, all will come into play.

We've definitely put ourselves in a position to compete and have a shot at a ring though, that's for sure.

Unbelievable signings and trades this offseason tbh

JA, I have no faith in the oldest team in the league, getting even older somehow. :lol

You expect all of them to last another 9 month season, in the West, and the team that beat them in round one has improved just as well.

Not to mention GS and OKC.

Spurs gonna win 3 rounds in the West vs LAC, GS, OKC, Memphis, and Houston?

Naw.

They'll be in the mix, in the hunt, but ultimately come up short. All the younger/faster teams gonna wear them out.

Lance going to have a repeat of his worst season ever? I don't think so

Crawford not going to be depended upon as much, his FG% should improve

Smith played exceptional in the playoffs, one of the best bench players of the postseason.. even when he had to start he played HUGE

Rivers is still Rivers I'll give you that

Johnson should offer defense

Aldrich should offer defense

Dawson could be a spark

When you have a starting lineup of CP3/JJ/PP/Blake/DJ can make that bench look more than respectable

Brick City :hat

Clippers got better given the cap situation they were in. Good offseason. Kudos to Callie Rivers for making it happen with her sturdy chin.

From a roster construction standpoint, Dawson and Pierce are better playing 4 in a small ball lineup right now. Some may argue that Johnson is too. Problem is if you play Blake at the 5 then you take your best rim protector off the court, and the guy who you just promised a bigger role and gave 20 mill per year to. The depth is there for sure, but I just don't get what Doc really was doing.

Would've been better off finding a wing defender or shooter from the bench. Dawson basically needs a redshirt year to work on 3 and D, they really have no room for him as a 4.

Didn't even think about Aldrich and Baby. The lineup sounds good in terms of names but I'm just not buying the actual construction.

You don't get what Doc was doing? He had ZERO to work with and filled out his roster with all upgrades

Come on fam, what else you want him to do

He upgraded the 3. He upgraded the bench. He kept DJ

It's called making a more than reasonable move with little to no money.

$1.5 million though, yea, I see exactly what he was doing if JSmith somehow brought nothing to the table. However, he brings a lot, and he's $1.5. Yea, no brainer
