Jesus. Guys. Read. I'm not disagreeing, I'm just saying Presti thought he was good enough to trade for AND THEN he had his best season in years... and Presti lets him go? In Presti's mind, how does that make any sense? You guys are revising history if you think people were so high on Lamb that Martin came along in the trade just to be a stop-gap.

Kevin Martin scored like 30 with a broken hand vs the Knicks

asterisk him

Presti: "Hey look! Kevin Martin just had the best FG%, 3PT% (43%) and 2PT% that he's had in years! Let's cut ties because ahem, he's getting in his 30s. Oh what? He just turned 29?."

Stop. Just, stop.
Kevin Martin is the guy who only scores all his points in the 1st and 3rd quarters because when the pressure is on he disappears. He goes ghost. Look at what happen when OKC asked him to be the 2nd option when Westbrook went down vs the grizz in the playoffs. Dude did nothing.

Edit: To clarify, when westbrook went down vs the rockets and Martin had to step up in the playoffs

I'm sorry, did David West just go to the Spurs for nothing? And I believe the biggest FA of this offseason signed there too.

If you have the foundation, people will gravitate toward you. Doesn't matter where you are.

And I'd say Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are more than just a foundation.

Obviously the Spurs are the exception.  Do you see players knocking down the doors to go to Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Memphis, Denver, Detroit, Utah, Atlanta, Charlotte, or Phoenix????????

OMGAWDORZ Milwaukee signed a free agent everyone.  The market is shifting to small market teams.

Strong Cosign
One year of smaller teams (that include SA on 3 pickups) getting guys over Big Markets....nah.

I don't believe guys are wanting to win over taking the money. This year won, next year won't in that respect.

Didn't they get 2 first round picks and a second rounder out of that trade as well?  I could very well be wrong on this but didn't those picks turn out to be Jackson and Adams?  Im sure they had zero interest in those picks...

I don't know about the second-round pick, but the first-round pick was used on Andre Roberson.

They got two firsts out of it.

"The Thunder acquired guards Kevin Martin and Jeremy Lamb, two first-round picks and a second-round pick in the surprising deal"

One turned out to be adams because he was picked 12th in 2012 after they were a 1 seed, but you may be correct on andre Roberson.

Edit:  It definitely was not Jackson because he was picked in 2011.

Reggie and Wall have exactly the same pay

They have almost exactly the same fg percentage

Therefore, they are exactly the same player

My logic is sound :hat

So lets just say the Wizards trade Wall for Reggie.
Would the team be better?
I say not.

Dre is not a part of that trade.

Mitch McGary was the first-round pick, and I think Alex Abrines was the other pick.

McGary pick: It was Dallas' pick originally, which they sent to LA, who sent it to Houston, who sent it to Oklahoma City.

aint the fault of Thabo and perk that scotty asked them to do more than they were capable off.. and underusing other guys (harden and collison)

or in morrow's case, brooks overplaying waiters instead of him.. if westbrook is out, dj should have been controlling the ball with morrow being used for spacing

but of course scotty underused harden until maynor got hurt.. then tried to use kevin martin and waiters exactly like he used harden when the situation literally forced him to have to use harden in that manner

Presti got rid of Kevin Martin, one of his central takeaways from the James Harden trade, only a year after acquiring him. Oh, by the way, Kevin Martin shot 40% from three during that one year he spent in OKC.

Scott Brooks asked Thabo, Perkins to do more than they were capable of? Sounds like a Presti problem more than a Brooks problem, don't you think?

Martin was a free agent that summer,, he signed with the twolves.. that wasn't a real trade

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-timberwolves-reportedly-agree-to-4-year-deal

And no I don't think.. He overplayed thabo or used thabo when there wasn't a need.. And harden was on the roster

Ditto Perkins.. Could pla collison more.. Or use small ball
