We'll see. The thunder have their chance this year. If they don't make it then it's obvious they haven't improved.
there's no excuse if they don't make it. Their front office did make a groundbreaking deal with penes kanter

west is not as great as proclaimed. half the teams that made the playoffs had next to no shot at winning a chip.

Trading for Thabo, Perk, signing Morrow were all seen as good moves when they acquired these players. Who were they really supposed to add?
aint the fault of Thabo and perk that scotty asked them to do more than they were capable off.. and underusing other guys (harden and collison)

or in morrow's case, brooks overplaying waiters instead of him.. if westbrook is out, dj should have been controlling the ball with morrow being used for spacing

but of course scotty underused harden until maynor got hurt.. then tried to use kevin martin and waiters exactly like he used harden when the situation literally forced him to have to use harden in that manner

portland , dallas , memphis , nop .. all not real contenders last year. we saw how horrible most of the series were. but we heard all that talk throughout the year that 1-7 have a legit shot and the playoffs were going to be a dog fight etc etc.

Brooks can't overplay Waiters if Presti (more accurately, Troy Weaver) never trades for him...

Presti got rid of Kevin Martin, one of his central takeaways from the James Harden trade, only a year after acquiring him. Oh, by the way, Kevin Martin shot 40% from three during that one year he spent in OKC.

Scott Brooks asked Thabo, Perkins to do more than they were capable of? Sounds like a Presti problem more than a Brooks problem, don't you think?

I want Lebron gone for a year. I just want one finals where it's not a given that Lebrons team isn't going to be in on the East side

Four wins more than a .500 team, this wasn't the Western Conference of year's past - but the ≠ meant that last year wasn't even what we're talking about until we went off on it as a tangent.
And they were 11 games out of the 2 seed with Durant missing 55 games, Westbrook 15, Ibaka 18.  I seriously don't understand what the hell you a trying to say.  They didn't have 1 of their three all-stars for 88 games and they were still competitive in a deep conference.  I would say that means they have quality players around them.

Would be a very boring Finals and the West would sweep. Not LeBrons fault there is no one to compete. Whether you like him or not LeBron needs to be there if you enjoy entertaining basketball.

Even with all the "mistakes" the thread has mentioned with OKC's FO today, it's just hot takes.

Everybody knows OKC hasn't won because of injuries First and every other reason Second, FO moves included.

So he was wrong for getting rid of Kevin Martin?

No, it's not Presti's fault that Brooks didn't go more small ball lineups with KD at the 4, and Serge at the 5. A lineup that they had success with. That's not a Presti problem even though you'd like it to be one.
