Quick thoughts for the upcoming season:

- Either the Spurs or the Warriors will hoist up the Trophy next June

- Pelicans will be an 8th or 7th seed at best.

- Thunder will make the playoffs but won't get passed the 2nd round.

- T-Wolves & Bucks will be fun to watch this season

- Knicks won't win more than 30 games this season

- This will be LeBron's last year of dominance in the East until KD goes to DC next season

- KD in DC marks the inevitable end of the "Bron Era", thankfully

- Expect an excess amount of Curry impersonators next few years.

-clippers , rockets , cavaliers and thunder so dont give up the trophy so quick

-pelicans can be as good as 5 seed if anthony davis goes 03-04 kevin garnett already

-thunder will get to western conf. finals minimum , kd and russ can od and they can win it all , but if they dont go 2 mvp's on one team every night then the thunder will lose to whichever unit in the west was cohesive enough to get to the WCF

-zach lavine/wiggins & giannis&parker will be fun to watch idk about everyone else lol except maybe KAT if hes anything and middleton is my dude

-knicks might not even win 20 even with healthy carmelo dropping 40 a game (people forget he will give up 5 more points then what he makes always)

-KD isnt going anywhere . him and westbrook both stay mark my words

-i dont think there is anyone else that can shake off three defenders and then take an unbalanced three point shot , 5 feet behind the line and make it , impersonators that will miss that shot have always existed.....jr smith , josh smith , etc .

my bold prediction for the nba season next year , kings make the playoffs and boogie has a mini prime shaq year , 24-25 ppg , 11ish rebs , 2.5 assists , 1.5 blocks . 1.0 steals per game easy ........that team is a perfect fit for rondos gameset and cauley stein is what they needed ....him and boogie inside will be a problem theyre going to become one of the grittier teams overnight with rondo and willie on board , rondo will get that aura he got from kg,pp,perkins those years the celts won the chip

Couple early predictions...

Sadly, I think the Spurs will disappoint :{. Counting on a washed Tony Parker and 40 year old Timmy is uncharted territory. Still think they finish with a top 4 seed in the west...but exit in round 1 or 2. Age is undefeated...it'll likely show for the GOD Timmy this year smh.

James Harden will regress and average about 21ppg on bad percentages. While Dwight averages around 18 & 12 again. I think the Rockets regress slightly to like a 5/6 seed...and not a real threat.

Warriors good fortune from last year won't carry over. Literally everything went right for them in 14-15. Still, they will be one of the top 3 Teams in the west.

Clippers make it to the WCF. They get a 2 seed and favorable matchup come playoff time. Jamal Crawford is traded before the deadline for stability and shooting. Wes Johnson surprises people, and Paul Pierce plays his age. Lance is also better, but expendable.

Brad Beal takes a huge step forward. Averages about 18-20 Ppg on 44/40/82 splits. Wizards finish 3rd or 4th in the East with close to 50 wins.

Jabari Parker starts out slowly, but by all star break, he's comfortable and showcases why I believe he's one of the 5 best young up and coming players in basketball.

Stan Van works his magic and has Detroit winning about 43 games. KCP surprises some people...Jennings is dealt or malcontent. Reggie Jackson plays better than expected.

Trey Burke becomes a competent PG and learns to finish better at the rim. Utah Wins 45 games...finishes with the 8th seed and gets swept by OKC or the Clips in round 1

Who do you guys got for playoff seeding?

West:
1. Thunder: New coach will make the most of off the rotation players while KD and Russ will do their thing under a new system. Russ will have an MVP season
2. Warriors: expect more of the same. Coaches contemplating game plans to stop curry, maybe see different strategies to slow him down
3. Clips: Deandre Jordan will have a disappointing season after all the drama this offseason
4. Rockets: Deep team. Can win it all if healthy
5. Spurs: Their PG position will be an issue. PGs will feast on the spurs the same way they used to feast on Fisher and the Lakers
6. Pelicans: Healthy Holiday and >D , better coach and improved AD
7. Memphis: I think they have a down year and take a step back. They have not improved at all.
8. Kings: Boggie and Coach will settle things and put it behind them. Rondo will play much better under a system that supports his style and he makes Gay and Ben look good.

Just missing it: Utah and PHX. Dallas will disappoint.

East:
1. Bulls:
2. Cleveland: LeBron will have his rest. The team is more experienced but they will continue to deal with injuries/ locker room problems
3. Miami: Possibly the strongest starting five in the east but weak bench. Health and Whiteside are the question marks
4. Washington: Their bigs are a year older, no Paul, Coach is hot and cold. If Beal and Otto can take the next step, they will make it far in the Playoffs
5. Boston: They will continue to improve on what they built on last year
6. Atlanta: Last year's playoffs will hurt them this year. Unless they can get a go to guy, this team will have a 1st round exit
7. Detroit: they were clicking end of last year but with the injuries and Josh Smith leaving at the end of the season, it was too little too late. This year they bring it together Jackson will prove his contract and Drummond will be an all-star
8. Bucks: J Kidd will lead this team to the playoffs. Shooting will consistently be a problem. Even though they have a ton of length, Monroe and Parker and not the best defensive players and will face trouble there.

Toronto: I believe the GM will pull something via trade to improve this team or the exact opposite and rebuild like his original plan two years ago. Val will only get better if he gets touches. It's all on coach to set him up. Stop depending on Derozan, he is a great third option at best (See Odom and Iggy).

Indy and Charlotte will be close but they are not good enough to make it

Philly and Portland will compete for last spot.

Lakers and Knicks will disappear in that irrelevant zone (Philly taking Lakers pick!), Russell will struggle heavily first half of the season and so will Randle. Kobe will actually take it easy this year...but he will still speak his mind, especially with Hibbert. Clarkson will ball out.

Minny will be a ton of fun to watch, Waggins will take a big step forward.

Muduai and Jah will compete for rookies of the year

I like these early predictions but Moheezy Moheezy has the most accurate one.

+ Derrick Rose is in Penny Hardaway, Tracy McGrady and Grant Hill company now. It's official. I really do feel bad for the guy and he does need a new PR person.

Cavs will be interesting to see this season because Kyrie and Shumpert won't be available till' January and those are two starters. Cavs might have a slow start. Must watch TV. I dunno if LeBron can make it to his six straight finals. If he doesn't make it to the NBA Finals this year, does he consider moving again?

Agreed. I don't think we will see an MVP Rose ever again. It will be interesting to see how he adjusts to becoming a rotational player or a #2.

Idk, for all the injuries, Rose hasn't lost what made him great in the 1st place which is his athleticism.

Missing so many games it's hard to maintain any semblance of a rhythm but he still showed glimpses of his old self.

It's really more a mental thing honestly and him staying healthy for at least 2 full seasons, both seem like a lot to ask at this point.

Jabari/monroe frontcourt defense :hat

And yea athletically rose does everything he always has except less dunks. It takes a while to build back that endurance which is why he plays better when he has rest days between games

A lot of it w/ Rose is his decision making. He may not have MVP level production again, but it's feasible that he could be just as good. The issue to me is that his extended absences have thrown off any semblance of discipline within his skill set.

It's like he's lost every bit of cognitive basketball sense he ever had. Seems like he has no idea what shots or passes are good anymore. Hopefully with more games under his belt, that can change.

Had no doubts Bari was going to get fat while injured. :lol

Luckily the league is moving towards his type of game because there is no way he would be able to be a 3 on defense.

Bucks starting lineup should really be

MCW
Giannis
Middleton
Monroe
Henson

Bari 6th man.

tomdiginson tomdiginson serious question. Did you not see these two post by me? Why haven't you acknowledged or disputed these post? I don't understand what your problem is dude.
If I throw shots or defend myself I'm banned from threads. This guy can continuously disrupt the thread with foolishness and continue to have access. Great job mods. Very fair and unbiased treatment.

I still hate the MCW acquisition :lol . They have so much quality at the forward spot, but none of them can shoot outside of Middleton who really should be playing the 2. It'll be interesting to see what Kidd does with Parker back.

Knight was perfect there because he was shooting around 40% from 3 while still providing defense.

MCW is more elite on defense but the offensive drop off is real, dude just can't shoot.

But neither could Kidd, hopefully he and the staff can get MCW to around 36% from 3.

Kidd has his work cut out because that's probably a solid defensive lineup but monroe/Henson/mcw will be a disaster on offense. Almost any lineup you can configure has a huge flaw with either spacing or defense
