Again, why would anyone be more upset with Tristan wanting more money than Dan gilbert not parting with more money? Tristan wants 14m more over 5 years. The Cavs franchise value is at almost a billion and increased by 78% in one year.

tristan shouldve taken that deal he was offered period.... how you going to turn down 80 mil but then why did the cavs give love 110. i can see his point. love is a liability on one side of the court and he got 100 plus . i dont believe any team believes tristan is worth 100 mil.

For some reason most on here have a strange fascination with owner's saving their billions at the expense of the labor. Never understood it.

Basically the difference is pennies to Gil. Fork over the loot.

Would the Cavs realistically be able to pay everyone though? Including MosGawd? What would the cap situation look like

If TT can get what he wants good for him, don't think folks are upset with him just questioning his value. You can't blame Gilbert for not giving two PF's max deals

I don't think folks care much if Comic Sans Dan has to spend more money. It's the fact that TT just isn't worth close to a hundred million just to grab rebounds. Nope, not worth it.

You're worth its determined by the what the market is willing to pay for your services. Always been that way. NBA players have been getting overpaid for years relative to what some of them bring to the table. If Gilbert's willing to let him walk to TOR over 3-4 mil a year then he's an idiot. He's willing to pay 190 million for two PFs but not an extra 14? C'mon son.

2013 draft wasnt that bad, pretty average imo
You got Oladipo, Gobert, Dieng, Noel, Schroder, Atentounkounpo...........
2000 draft was the worst hands down

Definitely not as bad as advertised. No franchise players, MAYBE an all-start or two. But solid rotation players all around. 2000 draft was so much worse.

Yeah, looking at 2013 again, as compared to some other classes (like 2006, 2007), its not as bad as I thought initially. Likely no superstars or possibly even all-stars, but a fair number of contributors. That does seem average or just slightly below average for most drafts. Some, like 1984, 1996, 2003 and 2009 are just exceptional.

Meh, '84, '96, and '03 had generational megastars. Would you really put Steph up there with MJ, Kobe, and Lebron?

Not yet. But if he has a few more seasons like he did last year, he could move up there into that category.

OK, maybe 10 more seasons like that...

That's why I asked what the cap situation looks like. If you factor in all the other players that extra 14 million might make a difference

I would say paying two PF's the max is idiotic

Unless they don't have Mosgov's bird rights they're over the cap regardless, it's only a tax issue as Allen stated. Meaning Dan is going to have to come up if he wants to keep LBJ happy and this group intact.

"Only a tax issue". There are other rich owners in the league that don't give out 4-5 max contracts. For a reason
