remember when you could clothesline people driving to the rim & it wouldn't be a flagrant?

things were better back then

Yeah that's when **** was HARD!

dsajklhsdkhafads;lfsdkjsdafjsd

It's not even making sense. Because the NBA has evolved to a point where **** like that isn't acceptable, it's soft. And it's not like plays like that happened that often back then either.

WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH THE BRAND OF NBA BASKETBALL BEING SOFT.

If you really feel that way go watch MMA

Lebron goes head first to the rim at full speed, ain't nothing soft about that.

But what basketball do you like then?

Because flopping has been around since forever g. I just watched Tommy Heinson (I think) call out the Lakers flopping on McHale in like 85 the other day on NBATV.

My man Red is preaching about not flopping in the damn 50's. It's been around forever. But the NBA is soft now because of it. Get the hell out of town man

Kobe is tough for getting washed by Chris Childs? :lol

You Laker fans need knee pads.

Not ony that. As soon as dude posted kobe getting that Tuesday special the laker fan came back with "if that were lebron..." :lol

maybe its because high caliber sniper rifles were not invented yet back then but i dont remember anyone in the 80s being hit by a 50 cal mid play

Shoeking, you can't be this slow buddy.
That's essentially the argument these people are making. They are calling the NBA soft now, and citing how players took punches better back then.

The point I was getting at by that statement, is that everyone is calling the NBA soft without any actual merit. How is it soft today?
