if you have a talented pg thats 6'6 then do everything you can to keep him

imo MCW isnt that talented

and by talented i mean at least all star level

his numbers don't mean much at all. He's not really all that good honestly. He just sucked the least. .
wait what?
so 17, 6 ,5 & 2 dont mean nothing in the NBA, you gotta be on a contender for them to count now?. im done. you got it. my god.

The 76ers were hardly an NBA team though man :lol that **** hardly counts man.

So Nick Young is a legit 18ppg player in the NBA?

How much Value do you place on guys filling up the box scores on teams that are historically bad like the 76ers are? I personally don't think he's all that, but at the very least the book is still out on him. All he did last year was put up decent to good numbers on a team that was the worst that I've ever seen...and they've gotten worse this year.

please dont bring swaggy into this....ones a pg and the other is a gunna

NT doesnt approve of MCW. ill live with that.

another thing: being great doesn't entitle you to a championship, and not winning doesn't mean you aren't great.

Lets take Anthony Davis the next great superstar for example.

David Robinson was putting up Anthony Davis numbers and couldn't win **** until Pop and Duncan got there.

Anthony Davis had a 20 per as a 19 year old big, Tracy Mcgrady had 18 PER as an 18 year old perimeter player. You know how difficult that is? He won diddly squat in orlando.

Dirk Nowiski's been dotting peoples eyes for a long time, won nothing untill Rick and elite defensive center Tyson Chandler appaered, it wasn't like he wasn't great before that.

Being great guarantees nothing.
The Anthony Davis hate will arrive when his teams get bounced in the first round every year.

Doesn't even matter that the squad isn't nearly as complete as other teams in the west. KGs teams prior to ''04 weren't that great and he was criticized heavily.

Fans fawn over your stats until years pass and you're still ringless. Dudes criticizing Chris Paul for not getting past the 2nd round is exhibit A :lol

You missed the point man :lol it's not about their positions, it's about how much value you put into their production on teams that are historically bad.

This man kinda knows, because looking at purely stats is meaningless.  Analysis requires more than just a stat line.  Variables need to be accounted for.  I think people agree with this.  To observe whether a player is talented or not requires observation.  Nick Young can put up stats, but he is no where talented like the other higher tiered players.  I think people agree to this as well.

Chris Paul is a great player but he has limitations due to his size

The Clippers problems are the surrounding cast besides Chris and Blake

one more thing what makes him not talented tho? im def lost with that one....is it bc of his shooting?

I don't think anyone is saying he's not talented at all, just that he's not perennial all-star talented. He could be a nice player on the right team, but is not the kind of guy you build around.

Anthony Davis
Kevin Love last year
Lebron in 04 05, 03 04
McGrady in 03 04
Kobe in 04 05

when you are on bad teams such as MCW, my rule of thumb is that you have to really go in as far as production is concerned, or else you're just putting up filler stats. You're nothing more than a looter in a riot. MCW is not doing that. His line last year hardly matters when you consider context, and then his production relative to said context. I know i'm kind of comparing MCW to some really great guys, but the point is that even when you team is horrid, you can still see "it" if a player has "it." I don't see "it" at all with MCW.

When I watch MCW I see a guy that can't shoot, is average to below average at breaking the defense down off the bounce or with screen rolls which as a result makes him just an average player, and he doesn't show any capacity right now to be a guy that can score the rock for you. He has size and length and a good feel for the game, but that's where the buck stops with me and MCW.

Cool story I heard right now on the Clipper broadcast from Mike Smith watching the replay against the Hornets

Smith said on the day MJ came back against Indy, Smith and the Clippers didn't attend warmups so they could watch the MJ coverage

If a team THIRSTY for young talent to stack like the Sixers put MCW on the trading block after winning ROY....that says alot.

the miami heat supporting cast was a bunch of bums before lebron and bosh came over

when you have a so called top 3 coach, top 3 pg, top 3 pf, a center that leads the league in rebounds AND the sixth man of the year you stop making excuses and find a way to make it work

True but look at who he's been eliminated by in the second round each year

I don't make excuses for Paul but I also don't crucify him like a lot of NT does

Anyone catch Crawford dribble between Zeller's legs the other night

i do dislike chris paul though. i think his failure to progress beyond a certain point is karma in a way for his snake-like ways on the court
