Tough WC is the go to for every Harden, KD, Russ, Curry, CP (I can go on) fan who hasn't won a title yet. I guess the 2 LeBron won didn't count because he plays in the east. Spurs and Mavs must be the greatest teams ever because they found a way to win in that tough west. Lol

What are you even babbling about now?

LeBron will be no worse than the 3rd best player of all time when his careers over, :lol

When have I ever said anything bad about him?

Dude carried a pretty crappy Cleveland team to the Finals, won 27 games in a row, took Miami to 4 straight, won 2 in a row, has 4 MVP's, 2 Finals MVP's....

He's done pretty much everything that you can do on a basketball court.

I'm referring to the "tough WC" you keep repeating. Since that gives Pauls playoff failures a pass does that mean East teams winning doesn't count. Not that hard to comprehend what I meant.

Memphis needs to ask for their first rounder back from the Speights/Ellington trade.

Smh nope. If you had 4 rings and a finals MVP and I had neither would you say I'm still better than you?
Basketball is a team sport. Chris Paul not winning 4 rings isn't his fault. EYE will not discredit HIM for not being part of a championship team. TP has been fortunate enough to have been on great teams. How many times could CP3 make that claim?

Pretty much.

Yes even in December. People went on pace saying this would be the best rookie class ever after 03' and 96'.

Nobody is showing any signs of that. But we'll wait I guess. Most of these dudes don't even start or get any minutes.
Yea people made that statement based on long term projections.

There is no way in hell CP3 isn't top 5 pgs all time

So for those of you that say CP3 is not a Top 5 PG ever, who would you put on a list that is DEFINITELY "better" than him?

Frazier, Stockton, Kidd, Big O, GP, Magic,

So he is on the outside looking in. Generational Bias would cause a new age basketball fan to place him about Frazier, Stockton, and maybe GP.

So I would say no to him being Top 5. BUT, the argument CAN be made. A solid one if you are a good masked debater.

Collectively...NBA fans have such a ridiculous have such a ridiculous view on "winning".

That is not an individual accomplishment.

If you want to be literal about it...whoever doesn't win the championship are losers...and over the past decade there haven't be THAT many champions. So a majority of the league are "losers".

Yea it bothers me that the media has pushed this mindset so much to the point where people won't even entertain certain players are being SERIOUS players unless they have a ring.

I don't think people understand how much luck goes into someone ending up on the right team at the right time and being born into the right era. Are we going to fault anyone during the 90s for not being able to be part of a team that beat the Bulls? Not fair. Doesn't make sense at all.

This is why I didnt knock Melo for doing what he did. Not everyone can win man, its just not the way things work. Look how many great players come and get out of this league without winning a thing. Winning a championship is over valued by people. It means something, but its not the end all be all for the majority of the players in the league. Matter of fact theres only one player in the league right now I can say that using championships as a measuring stick for them is even acceptable and I personally dont even like that it happens and thats LeBron.

@shoeking2101CP3 and Blake are better than Steph and Klay IMO. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Blake a MVP contender just a season ago?

Spurs are a great team but according to the CP3 supporters he's individually the best player on the floor right? I'd take Blake right now over any individual Spurs player also. So what's the problem?

LA IMO is a better all around team than the others you named. OKC is the bad match up because their 2 stars are better than everyone else's but LA has a huge coaching advantage. That west is stacked excuse for everyone's favorite player that doesn't win is lame IMO.

Right. You can't excuse a team's shortcomings just because other teams and players are also good. The cream rises to the top, what's implied when you say "the west is stacked" is that the clippers/cp3 just aren't good enough to compete with the best.

Like I said earlier, I love Nash, he's one of the greatest offense forces in the history of the game, but some of the credit needs to go to D'antoni.

This narrative needs to change. D'antoni has coached some very talented players but has never had anywhere close to the success that he's had with nash leading the program. Nash made D'antoni more so than vice versa

Yall don't ever get tired of talking about Chris Paul's place among the all time greats?

Besides stockton & isaiah, there isnt a pg i would take over cp3

Magic might be the most overrated player of all time imo

So winning mean absolutely nothing? There's nothing to be said about elevating your teammates level of play or leadership or anything that has to do with winning. So when Melo or TMac couldn't make it past the first round that had nothing to do with them. Their great but the team they had was to blame.

You could literally never make the playoffs but put up consistence great numbers on a bad team and be the greatest ever because actually winning is a team thing right?
