Wilt's game with the yambs wouldn't translate to this era. He wouldn't be able to spit over IG or Twitter. It was much easier to slay as a professional basketball player back then. He would have too much competition now.
You did not include the inflation of thots in today's society every where you look there's a Thot b

He would've had way more money and we live in a slightly less racist USA nowadays. Wilt would've been flourishing even more. There is no competition when you're an athletic, rich, NBA player. Come on now.

All I know is that if Wilt played today my dude would be getting shredded every morning on First Take for that 2-5 Finals record.

I don't even want to imagine how bad they would go in on Baylor.

PER is a overvalued stat

Theres no way David Robinson and Chris Paul are in the same conversation with those other guys

Man what? :lol

Robinson is one of the best centers to ever play and Chris Paul is one of the best pg's ever, you sound crazy.

Well, it's been established that unless you're Top 3 all time at your position that you're no longer a "Tier 1" player, so DR and C3PO are just avg.

Dat dere comprehension.

Brian Siemen asked Mike Smith if he's ever seen a better PG than CP3.Mike Smith, the homer, said Magic was better but CP3 is the best PG he's seen since he started broadcasting. I think he's been broadcasting for like 10 years.

I hate Mike Smith as much as you guys but the reaching is outrageous on here.
Exactly. I'm the first to admit Mike Smith says a lot of dumb ****, but if you're going to criticize him, at least do it for stuff he actually says.
nah mike smith wasnt too bad last night, the new kid was all over the place though. first asking if cp3 is the goat pg, then when mike smith shut him down he said something like "well according to per cp3 is the greatest pg ever" or something

making me wish the old man was back

super entertaining going back through the posts and reading up on how the conversation ended up with the classic "wilt would be deandre jordan in todays game" line

larry and magic would be ryan anderson and boris diaw if they played in todays game

a lot of people don't realize this all PER is are the box score stats . PTS/REB/AST/BLK/STL ect, adjusted for pace of play, league enviroment and weighted for value.

it's just a faster way of saying this guy averaged 20, 12, 5 and with 2 blocks and 1.5 stls. Instead you just say he had a 24.2 PER.

to say PER is overvalued, what you are really saying is that a player is contributing less or more than his traditional box score stats would indicate. You would have to explain why. but to say that PER is overvalued doesn't quite make sense.

also PER can't measure defense, and probably overvalues shot creation.

Because stats don't matter.

Could you make an argument that David Robinson got a lot of blocks and steals without being a great defender?

Maybe

but I would say PER is pretty bang on about his offense. He was an all time great offensive player. and deserves to mentioned with the greatest C's of all time.

CP3 pretty much every statistical system from box score to adjusted plus-minus has him as the 2nd or 3rd greatest PG ever.

do with that what you will.

Tony Parker's Individual accomplishments really don't measure up at all.

If he didn't play with Timmy....we'd look at him like we view Chauncey Billups.
This is an interesting perspective, anyone agree disagree?
i guess a counter point would be that TP's individual stats would be higher if he had to carry a team on his own and didnt have the spurs system to take the pressure off him

how is brandon jennings shooting 13% this week

What do you mean "how"?

you don't ask questions when it comes to players like that, players like Josh Smith etc.
its just that all the other guys on my fantasy team played hard this week, KD even came back ahead of schedule to try and lead my team to a W

but BJ had to let them all down

In fact I think you could make a pretty close comparison with David Robinson and Anthony Davis, guys who got a ton of steals and blocks but maybe didn't have the greatest actual defensive impact on their teams.

I never thought about that, it's a marvel that Wilt has no kids from an Era where condoms were not used frequently

My main man Rajon Rondo with the triple double.

Dude made a RIDICULOUS pass in transition for one of his assists that had me
