TERMINATOR THREAD - Terminators 40th

Ok so there's 2 time traveling Arnolds in the movie. Time traveling in a story that already has a different version of himself time traveling. Cue xzibit.

It would've been cool to see edward furlong play John Connor again in any of the movies. Too bad he's a mess and has drug problems.

Didn't need a reboot. Build off of Salvation. Too bad the bankruptcy issues derailed that trilogy.

I thought Salvation was horrible. The franchise is just better with Arnold but at his age, he should only be an supporting actor which is what I think is happening here.

Looks like trash. Better be rated R.

So Arnold is two terminators and Aaron makes it a third?

Is this a brand new series?

Well they are already planning on shooting the 2nd and 3rd film back to back so we'll see if it actually gets to that.

it was better than 3
and had some actual good elements in it
Is that really saying much that it was better than 3? :lol

First couple minutes is T1 > salvation. They completely dropped the ball. It's like doing a Spider-Man movie but never get up to when he turns into Spider-Man :rollin

I'm not even gonna lie. I'm a homer for all things Terminator. I loved 3. I liked Salvation and loved the TV series. I'm just a total Terminator geek though so they could put Terminator in a Lifetime movie and I'd watch.

That being said.... (Bart Scott) CANT WAIT. I'll be in the theaters for it.

I'm still pissed FOX canceled the show though. That was actually one series I watched from the jump and they canceled it with no conclusion even though it was getting 2.5 million viewers a week. I'll never invest in a FOX show again.

And as said.... it HAS to be rated R. HAS TO BE. Thats what doomed Salvation for me from the jump.

"Kind of like Back to The Future, the Terminator: Genesis script folds into the first film in the series.... There's a scene in the script where literally, we see the scene in the first Terminator where Arnold steps out, the punks threaten him, he rips Bill Paxton's heart out and takes his clothes and wanders off. And as soon as that scene ends, another Arnold Schwarzenegger who's older, and bearded and a very different version of the Terminator, comes walking in from the other side and plays another scene, right at the scene of that first incident."

Sold!!!

I think the problem with the terminator series is that T2 was too good. I mean top 3 sifi movies of all time good. How could you possibly have a plasauble successor to that movie? IMO you can count on one hand the number of sifi movies better than it since it was made till now. That's saying a lot.

Hmmm...not sure if this will be any good. Emilia Clarke in the film makes it interesting, but out of context, those screen shots that the OP posted are confusing (an old Terminator, old John Connor, and Sarah Conner is not only alive, but younger). I know time travel is involved (obviously), but without a premise or plot to add to these pics, this looks like another garbage, cash-cow Terminator movie.

Terminator went trash after T2, because James Cameron went out. Dude finished his own series after T2. T3 just says, Judgement day is inevitable and ignores what they did in T2.

James Cameron the only one who can save this.

^ true but he left for a reason. After T2 you just have to sit back and call it a day. It's like adding glitter to Picassos work today :lol

It's over, just stop
