I did some investigating. I’ve listened to IA before but since my boy really loves them I dug deep. Cloud cascade is def my favourite. Great guitar licks in that. Beginning of the song reminds me of Volumes.

Alright, that’s AOTY settled for 2023
The new Invent Animate album “Heavener” is absolutely amazing, even better than I expected.
Aside from Currents’ upcoming project, I can’t see anything coming close.

ill download it and see what's up. been going thru a lot of albums. a lot of good ones. See You Next Tuesday got the classic grindcore sound to reminisce the early 00s. and asI'm typing this going thru this dragoncorpse album. Power metal lyrics AND vocals yet deathcore vocals like Lorna Shore? damn I'm surprised myself

Tbh I don’t pay a huge amount of attention to drummers but one that clearly stands out above the rest to me is Chris Turner
Not just in terms of speed, accuracy or stamina but especially the little things that make it all come together

I’m not hating everybody starts from somewhere. But yes, I would rank metal as having one of the snobbiest, elitist people of the infinite amount of communities out there.

Get mad for a band, changing too much and another band changing to little or it can be the same band
