at the time a year ago, you could get them rather easily at $120. really no demand for these.
size twelve, I remember breaking out my zoom trainers to play some pickup ball a few months back. tinker did such a great job on the design of these, this older guy in his 40s thought i was wearing the originals. he instantly recognized them, even though the zooms were an inspiration shoe, the blending and incorporating of new materials and technlogies was executed so well. thats the type of story I would tell tinker personally. I then had to explain to him the whole nike release process. "the originals were remade in 2000 and are pretty hard to get now in 09, but there is also a 2002 and 2008 release but those were exclusive to asia, canada, and australia." Old dude just wanted some $90 dollar shoes and to be done with it.. to walk into a local retailer and buy a general release.. shoes arent just shoes anymore man, sorry to break it to you like that. lol. breaking down stuff like this to normal people is not ideal at all.
what are ya'll thoughts on the manny trainers coming out as a GR in various colors? i see them as a mix between the not too popular edge trainer series and the zoom trainers from 04. without the limited supply in these, i think they fall through the cracks.. so do the GRs fall through the cracks?
I heard manny didnt even train in these, and that the manny poster was photoshopped. talk about great marketing.. prices that triumph over every single nike cross trainer in atleast a decade with those prices.. signed mcenroe match worn shoes would barely reach $700, let alone $750-800, the price of the mannys
