Alright fellas so saturday a friend is introducing me to a friend of hers at our friends' kids bday party. I've asked my boys for advice and they said just be myself and talk with her.

This is the first time I've done the whole being set up deal. I've seen the girl in pics and she's cute I asked my friend to introduce me. You fellas have any tips besides the usual? I figure I'll be bouncing between talking to my buddies and other people so I won't just focus only on her. Anything else I should be thinking about?

Church.

Valentines Day makes girl's go crazy.
I had a friend just tell me that she was considering having a train run on her because she didn't have a boyfriend.
All I could think was, V-Day brings out the inner *** (or perhaps desperation) in the single Bs.
oh ****!! :rollin :rollin

That's gross.

I literally said "the ****?!" What kind of logic is that? If she's really considering that, she has likely done it before which is probably why she is single.

I'm married, but as far as music with a girl riding shotgun, I'd go with Kendrick Lamar. A few J. Cole songs come to mind just or create a playlist for that occasion. (Don't name the playlist what it is.)

Yambers, how long after a breakup did you find yourself chalking it up with another girl?

Me and my girl ended things last night. Was a calm breakup, nothing harsh was said... but I still feel upset over it a bit. Think I'm best to jump right into talking to girls here and there?

Yes dont wait too long.....thats when it hit you that you two are not together.

V-Day hasnt meant **** to me in like 4-5 years. Hitting up the bar that night it is....

Na she's just a harlot bruh, loneliness =/= train
The nutty part (badum-ts) is that she's a virgin.

It's been verified, don't ask me how I know.

Take some time for yourself breh...
The worst thing you can do is rush into talking to other girls. If you had "serious" feelings for her, you need time to heal, regroup and get your mind right. Too many men and women jump in and out if bed with people right after a break up and don't take the time to analyze how you can grow from the situation. I suggest taking a 6 month sabbatical, focus on your friends, family, career, school. Get your work out game up, find new hobbies, finish that book or videogame or whatever that brings you joy to make this situation smoother. Definately drop all contact and social media with her. Give yourself space and clarity before maybe attempting a reconciliation with her. It's all about you right now and what you want. Trust breh, I did the whole smash a bunch of chicks to numb the pain, but if you don't deal with it, some how, some way it will manifest and come up eventually with you ain't eem know it.....

I hear you 100% on that. We were together for a few months, and I guess because I know I did nothing wrong for things to end (she jumped too early into our relationship after before me being in a 5 year that ended badly for her), I'm taking it as I'm the "victim". That's the ****tiest feeling, because she herself doesn't want to hurt myself and herself at the moment by forcing to continue what we have going when she mentally just isn't ready. Yet, the feelings are in her head.

I'm definitely down to keep my mind focused on other tasks in the interim. That's truly probably what's best.

Good looks on that advice man, I appreciate it :hat .

@Don Adidada
The realest thing I've read in sometime. repped. I never understood how people can jump from 1 relationship to another either.

So far my valentines day plans are to go get a haircut and go play some soccer. Been single since the beginning of the year. Lost 5 pounds so far, just focusing on me.
Crazy thing is there are gonna be MAD DOPE concerts valentine weekend too.

No one said anything about jumping relationships just meet new people. But I understand both sides.

I like to keep it moving, too many amazing women out there to not experience them because someone that's now in your past, not everything has to be a "relationship"

Alone time but immersing your self in hobbies and new experiences work. New people are cool as long you don't get too involved till you're certain youre free and clear and ready. Point is to regain your ground on who you are from within without this person. you don't wanna get in a situation where you start using another person emotionally to clear thoughts of someone else, gotta be all you. If you think about it, that's what she was doing. Like mugen da gawd said 6 months just focusing on you works wonders.

It's not about jumping into another relationship or too many amazing girls out there to not say anything to, it's more about "Destroying and Rebuilding"(Shoutout to Nas)...
How are you going to know what YOU like, what YOU are looking for when you don't even take the time to learn what YOU did wrong in the relationship. Sometimes people truly do grow apart or were not ready to begin with, so YOU need that time for self reflection upon YOUR self to grasp the things YOU could have done better or the RED FLAGS that YOU missed when YOU knew the partner ship was over and not beneficial for both parties involved...
This all ties back into when I say learn to love YOUR self because then and only then will YOU learn what YOU like and what YOU are willing to deal with...
I have known too many people that met that "amazing" person only to have it blow up in their face because they didnt know how to be alone for a short period of time to just chill, relax and do introspection( I was that person)..
At the end of rant, we all have different time tables when it comes to this thing called dating, but to truly be healthy in mind and spirit, take a moment to breathe and enjoy other things then rebound yambs, you owe that to yourself and your next potential lady.....

Catch her after class and ask her if you can copy her notes. Do some small talk and ask for the #s
