Surprised this wan't posted yet. New Steve Nash joints...

not sayin thats you by any means, but I cant imagine somebody purposely playin hoop in Chucks, so I wanna see it. if I saw you in person hoopin in Chucks, I'd have a million and 1 questions for you
Ha, yeah. I know what you're saying. If you're in the Seattle area, maybe you'll get to see me on the court at Greenlake, CalAnderson Park, or the UW IMA.

I'll try to get some pics of my Zoom Chucks up if i can get my hands on a dig camera. And hey, lets not forget that Chucks were all the rage back in theday. It always gets me when people say that they could never play in older shoes, especially older AJs which were the premier hoops shoe of their day. Jordanplayed like Jordan at least 35+ minutes of straight NBA ball (since he allegedly wore a new pair every game) against the likes of the Bad Boys, Magic, Bird,Drexler, Starks, and others in older AJs and was fine. I know 35+ doesn't sound like a lot, but I doubt I could hang with NBA ballers for even a minute inthe hottest tech-filled shoe ever made. Adam Morrison balled in OG Converse Weapons (Bird's shoe from the 80s) all season long in his high school days.

The coolest, non-altered feature of my Chucks has got to be the canvas though. I find that leathers and synthetic leathers eventually stretch out on bballshoes and makes the fit and ankle support diminish. The Chuck's canvas doesnt really have any give. Only real probs are ventilation and overalldurability...

Im in Seattle!
so yeah, Im definitely gonna have to check you out in the Zoom Chucks

and if you dunk in them.....you'll be a local hero as far as Im concerned

but I know what you mean, an older friend of mine used to discuss shoes with me all the time cause he knows Im into them and he'd tell me how they used tohoop in hard bottoms cause they only got one pair of shoes a year, but if they got a summer job or some other way to get $ and bought chucks, they thought theywere doin it lol. However he did say looking back, he dosent really know how they pulled it off. But I can assume Chucks and Pro Keds were like double stackedzoom compared to those hard bottom dress shoes

Agreed. Theres no way those are meant for basketball and I seriously doubt those are for Nash, unless they are simply a casual shoe with Nashs name attached.

Can you even ball in these sneakers ??????
Apparently you can

On a side note whatever happened to Amare's STAT III? He was supposed to have a STAT III inspired by his younger skateboarding days, as told to in SLAMMagazine.
