man I've putting this off for way too long trying to get by with just a pair of dress pants, tie and shirt.

I'm 22 today (shameless plug) and I need help with a suit / tailoring etc..General forum has a 'dressing better' thread so I guess this can be ourown little discussion.

K&G I'm assuming is where I can head for affordable prices on suits, but in terms of quality, what am I looking for? Not so much color schemes, I'mnot much of a novice there. I'm a small dude (5'8/9 region 155 lbs) going for the 2 buttons, fairly fitted look. Recommendations as well for goodplaces to get tailored? A good grey/dark grey suit with a white shirt and black tie would serve well as a first.

thanks in advance guys.

I used this to by my suit recently.

Since you said you were on the shorter side, use this guide to help you find how your suit should fit.

Like you I'm not rolling on paper, so I buy most of my suits from department stores. I just bought a suit from J.Crew last week and it was total under 5which isn't bad IMO.

I dont know how any one else feels about them, but i was going for a similar look as you, and am about the same size... (5'7 140-155) and i went toExpress, and I've gotten nothing but compliments...

^Yea I had some discounts that expired on the 15th. I saw a nice black paisley tie at the pentagon city express but couldn't find it at any other I'vebeen to. I need to make a trip back there.

shabooyah, thank you for that info homie! that's exactly what i needed.

Honestly, I would stay away from certain places, if you dont have much to spend, I would look at Jos A. Bank, the suits look good and fit pretty well, and ifyou get them when they are having a big sale, its a total steal, I bought 3 of them for around $600 which was a really good deal.

Zara def has that fitted modern look as well and has pretty serious deals goin on right now as well... I got a couple friends that work PT at the downtownlocation...

Let that joint get washed the wrong way lol.

RIP

H&M clothes are too cheap, the only thing I buy from them now is cargo pants/shorts.

My-T.
