You must not realize what war is, a war we did not start,as long as there is active terrorist there WILL be war, and people willdie, including innocent civilians.

For me at least, I am passing judgement on those who started and who continue the mission of occupying a country on the other side of the World. The US and NATO allies should have left several years ago but a few rich old men here in the West insist on crushing a proud group of pastoral warriors in order to make money or enhance their political careers.
Ask yourself this, who has lowered the standard of living, in the West, more in the last few years? Was it the 19 year old shepard (who would have been a child during the attacks of 9/11/2001), defending his mountain home, his small sliver of the Earth or the 100 richest and 100 most politically powerful people here in the West. If you answer honestly, you will know who the really threat to our liberty and prosperity really is.
Also, is there anything more disrespectful to the military than to give them the mission that they currently have? Criticizing our own foreign policy is not disrespectful to the rank and file soldier. What is the height of disrespect is making the best trained and best equipped military in the world do the dirty work of an empire, hijacked by a cabal of monied interests and a president who refuses to lose face even if it means that many others will have to lose their lives.

Well this thread went down hill in typical NT fashion.
After working in a VA hospital for 9 months let me tell you that the trauma from war does not end when you separate from the service. Homelessness, PTSD, poly-addiction, traumatic brain injury, and divorce are all typical challenges our soldiers face. Regardless of how you fee about the war we have to remember that these are real people with families and we should treat them as such.
