StockX scamming? How is this legal?

I'm late to the party here cuz I just saw it in the "Similar Threads" box below, but I've always understood that the whacky price differences are generally due to the buyer being in a different region and paying in a different currency, but the StockX site mistakenly displaying it as / converting it to USD. So someone may have spent 1034 of their local currency, which equaled $700 usd, but some users (maybe platform based; iOS, android, chrome, etc.) see the # displayed as $1034 usd due to a tech glitch.

Or they could simply be egaged in some ****ery

Dang that app update StockX just did is horrible. Go back to the regular style app.

Can’t see how anyone would like this new update over the past. 👎 put it back to what it was StockX.

I just updated it. Gonna have to open it and see. If it's that bad, I'll uninstall the update.

Another way StockX is scamming folks:

Last month, I purchased a pair of NB 574s for $205, but the seller never shipped. The prices dipped below $150, and I received an automatic "You've been matched with another seller." There was no refund or reimbursement of the difference between what I paid and the new BIN price. It wasn't until I sent several follow-up emails to their customer support that they refunded the difference. I'm certain they would've pocketed the difference if I hadn't constantly e-mailed them.
