What is the big deal here? Dude made a mistake and owned up to it. Why is this something to be talked about

Why is this surprising? People acting like he tried to fix the competition or something. He made a mistake and immediately owned up to it like a man is supposed to.

Relax! I just found it funny that they announced his extension amidst all of the hoopla. I couldn't care less about this whole ordeal, it was a pretty funny faux pas though.

I think Steve Harvey had the 3 year contract signed before the pageant on Sunday is that correct??

Not sure, saw the news feed scroll it wording it as an extension. You know the media likes to twist things though.

This was all after the fact though. Everybody mostly saw the mistake on the news and online. Not when it aired.

I don't think this popularity will carry over to next time they do it.

but how many people who have been talking about it if there wasn't a mistake made? 

it's a win for them no matter how you look at it.  i have never heard anyone speak about miss universe ever...but now it's been a topic of conversation at my job, amongst my friends, and on NT.

It will def get more play next year. Steve signed a multiyear contract to host. So more people are going to tune in next year to see what happens.
