As much as I would be good with it, I have heard/read/seen a dozen directors get projects and then the project never comes to fruition. So at this point, I'll believe it when I see the previews for it. Otherwise I just get let down.

I still don’t have as much of a problem with TFA being basically a New Hope requel as most people do. I enjoyed it at the time and if they did a better job with the following two films in that trilogy, that one wouldn’t seem as problematic in retrospect.
