The Jango cost me about $150 just for the helmet alone. All you get is the helmet and all the little pieces like the range finder and visor. It looks likethis when you get it.

Then you gotta find someone to sand/buff/paint it which is like another $150-200

As far as the Commander Gree helmet, it's an official product that was an exclusive and it was real limited so that one was just about $500

You can get regular plain white clone tooper/storm trooper helmets for like $250-350 though

Cool...thanks!

That Jango is crazy! My son loves the clone/storm troopers...may have to look into one!

QFT. and is that the ark of the covenant? don't know how that makes me feel...

The Ark was a golden-framed box adorned with Twi'lek cherubim figures. During the Battle of Ryloth, the Skakoan Emir Wat Tambor raided the vaults of the Twi'leks, and had many priceless artifacts loaded onboard his personal shuttle. The Ark was one of them and was taken away by the Tactical droid TA-175, even as he left Tambor behind.[1] Decades later, after the death of Emperor Palpatine, the ark, or a similar artifact, was housed in a display case on the Scardia Station.

Interesting stories:
Jones's native homeworld was a planet with many oceans and forests. The planet was very primitive compared to most of the galaxy, even being surprised at the common sight of a starship.[1] Sometime later, he met Shorty, a young boy. He also visited a region on his planet known as Atlantis, along with other discoveries.[1] One of his discoveries was the habitat of Chewbacca (whom the local Human natives preferred to call "Sasquatch") and the crashed Millennium Falcon, which, as he admitted, was unlike anything he had seen before, even in Atlantis. Jones and his assistant, Shorty, started to explore the ship's wreckage, but decided to leave it alone after encountering strangely disturbing remains of Han Solo within. One day, while exploring ruins in a place called Mexico, Indiana Jones discovered an alien who abducted him to took him back to his home planet of Xantar.[2] While on the planet he was discovered by Luke Skywalker. He carried a whip and a pistol as weapons, and bore a strong resemblance to Rebel Alliance hero Han Solo, which both he himself and fellow hero Luke Skywalker noticed. He wore the same clothes wherever he went, including a brown fedora.

The mourning Chewbacca leaves the Falcon to live in the trees, where the natives name him "Sasquatch". 126 years later, the wreckage of the Falcon and Han's remains are found by the intrepid American archaeologist Indiana Jones and his sidekick, Short Round. Indy, spooked by how 'eerily familiar' the remains are, decides to leave them in peace.

Oh... is it an MR helmet? I thought those came painted/assembled/ready-to-display. Did they ever make a Luke "Red Five" helmet?

yeah, the Commander Gree is MR you get it all ready out the box, but the Jango is only a custom since they never officially made him. Weird too since theymade a Boba Fett and you know how companies love simple re-paints. MR lost the Star Wars license a couple years ago, but some of the same dudes who workedthere formed E-FX and they just started releasing SW helmets recently. And as far as a Luke X-Wing helmet, I haven't heard anything about it besides thehalf scale ones MR released years ago. You might wanna check this out if you get a chance, a lot of good info

I completely forgot, there's this one. Nowhere near the quality of the official ones, but for the price, it should be good enough for the casual fan

Cool link...

Looking at that stack of StormTrooper helmets reminded me of my friend back in college. He had ordered a full Stormtrooper uniform... but was stuggling to getthe 'eyebrow' foam piece right. Have it too high and he looks surprised all the time ~ have it too low and he looks angry all the time.

For the most part, I only collect 80's robots, SW, & Hot Toys. One theme for each detolf display case I have, helps makes a nice display inmy living room back wall without showing OD geekness

Ok, I think we share some similar interests... I don't have these anymore, but as a child of the 80's, the first 2 were a big part of my childhood. Ilive in HK and have seen a lot of those Hot Toys displays. Some amazing detail there. I expect to see some collection pics!

--I like the new computer animated Clone Wars. I like the OG one too.
--The action in the new one is on point. Awesome stuff.

--There's supposed to be a live action Star Wars show in the works that takes place in the 19 years in between Eps III and IV.

Lol... I'm not a collector... just an avid fan and appreciator (if there's such a word).
I'm not a huge fan of Iron Man, but those 3 are
eek.gif
. I got a chance tosee those upclose and the detail is crazy...

Are the 3 troopers from Sideshow? I've always prefered the Medicom 1/6th figures... I caved and got the Vader and Stormtrooper when they first came out.

Let me know if you need anything here...

And yeah, my clones are Sideshow and my only reasonwith getting them is b/c they cost a lot less than Medi's and aren't as fragile. I see so many broken Medi figs, the only ones I have are Boba &Jango and I'm scared as hell to move them

Lucas Calls for Star Wars 3D

The bearded one says Avatar has finally made it possible.
by Jim Vejvoda
January 19, 2010 - George Lucas thinks the time has come for Star Wars to get the 3D treatment.

Although the filmmaker has been looking for a way to revisit the trilogies in 3D for some time now, it appears that the phenomenal success of the 3D sci-fi epicAvatar has finally pushed it closer to becoming a reality.

"[I'm] happy it's so successful, and worked very well in 3D," Lucas told Access Hollywood at Sunday's Golden Globes after party. "Haven't been a big fan of 3D, but that movie definitely improves in (the field of) 3D."

Lucas added, "We've been looking for years and years and years of trying to take Star Wars and put it in 3D ... But, [the] technology hasn't been there. We've been struggling with it, but I think this will be a new impetus to make that happen."

Im not a purist. but that is ##+@*#$#. i mean i know the mando'a have jedi, see the jacen/jaina arc for proof, but the dimensions of it are trashy. it looks like a vibroblade just black and glowy. the show is such garbage, just gimme the Yuuz'han Vong arc in 3 3D movies and im good. cancel this halfhearted crap.

The first star wars trilogy is easily 3 of the best movies ever made. I could watch a new hope 1 million times and still love it. Its one of those movies i wish i could forget so i could be stunned for the first time all over again. Classic. Cant say the same for the 2nd trilogy. I disliked all 3 of them.
