You'll hear in interviews, Tinker doesn't do retros. As he proclaims, he's a forward thinker. So it's not like they are getting word saying, "Don't dishonor the OG colors by providing exact retros." There are no OG heads out there trying to protect these from getting retroed perfectly like you may see with some Jordans( to try and protect valuable collector's items.. No one cares about trainers on that front). It's not like we're hearing "preserve the history and culture of these original colors by only getting 90% close. It's what the collectors want.". (WHAT COLLECTORS?). Everyone I've ever known on this place or other sites want exact replicas. Since Tinker doesn't care and he gave them all that freedom, they do the exact opposite of what he probably wanted. Sticking it to the man? What did Tinker do to ya'll? Do they need some direction?Originally Posted by SinnerP

The biggest issue here is the blocking... I guess I can "deal" with a black/volt cw, but that blocking just ruins the shoe. Again, are they trying to justify the jobs of the people that puts out new cw's? Put something new out, but don't make it too similar to the OG's?

A fellow NTer posted this photo up a couple days ago in B/S. I couldnt help but be in shock
All 1990 originals except that bottom 1999 university blue pair.
We always hear, "those colors are too bright, or no ones ready." But then you see Solar Red on some sc2010s or some crazy grinch or SB lebrons. Trainers are treated so differently.
Some correctly done INFRAREDS would cause riots. Bright colors are in. Don't be stupid. This has the perfect accent, like the am90 infrareds. Like I said in the post above.
They mute, mangle, and take the life out of colorways and entire models (by being 80-90% close enough). How they do that? It's become Nike's forte.

First impressions: I gave it a quick head nod.. A "these aren't so bad" mentality. Maybe alittle plain. They seem a bit more geared for fall or winter with the colors but they come out just as spring is upon us? Then again we;ve been treated with a bit of crap lately, thats all we technically KNOW of the sc trainer retro, so when something halfway decent comes out, it's a bit eye opening.
Unless the materials improve, I will not buy another sc trainer in any colorway but I thought I'd spread the news here.
