Whether the deal is legit or not, Soulja Boy doesn't get the credit he deserves for being a marketing genius and innovator of digital marketing for how he finessed MySpace and YouTube all at the age of 16/17.

As someone who was in the South and young when Soulja popped off initially a decade ago, I can tell you he was legitimately hot with the kids a year before he had that deal. He would have been 10x bigger if he came out just 5-6 years later with IG/Vine/Twitter.

He is a social media marketing genius and him getting people talking about him again with this deal is a prime example. Wouldn't be surprised if over these next few decades he finds himself a few hundred million for real. All while still being very cold musically.
