So Nike banned me

Between my wife and I, we order a lot of clothing and shoes/cleats for ourselves and three kids

We often purchase multiple sizes and return the ones that don’t fit

Nike recently banned/blocked my account from making purchases due to “excessive returns”. Even though I spend a lot of money on purchases that I end up keeping, it’s in the thousands of dollars per year. Just soccer cleats and basketball shoes alone for growing kids costs quite a bit.

So I figured I’ll just open another account, or use a different payment method, or a different address, or have my wife open an account under her name…..

None of that worked

I thought maybe it’s my IP address, so I tried purchasing with my work computer on a VPN

that didn’t work either


Does anyone have any ideas how I can circumvent this ban?

If none of that worked, I would just reach out to customer service… telling them you understand the issue and would like your account to be back in good standing if you follow common sense rules and returns moving forward.

im assuming its because nike also loses money with free returns so when they see someone constantly returning an excess amount they see a red flag

Was able to use my aunts address and a different email / a shorter version of my name to place orders with no issues

if their customer service can’t help ( most times they can’t with these kinds of issues or they’ll just tell you to kick rocks )

Pick a Finishline/DicksportingGoods/Academy to buy basketball shoes from Nike.

Buy the better products for the rest of the sports at the respectable brands.

If you are one of those people who can’t break brand loyalty, I would express Nike doesn’t care about you.

Reason I say congrats is you will enjoy better products and stop using Nike for every sport cause they aren’t the best selection
