Nino Brown's story was loosely based on several people. Basically the character was inspired by several real lide drug dealers/organized crime families.

It wasn't an EXACT retelling of anyone's story. Carter was based on the Chambers. Nino was based on Nicky Barnes. Rolled on his boys at the end.
