For one, mismatched color of the upper vs the outsole on the 25 SBB vs the Taxis (SBB outsole looks darker than upper) but that could be the picture.. Haven’t seen them in hand yet.How did you determine that?

I bet some of the panels are decent and others aren’t-seems like a lot of recent GR OG Highs have this problem.Maybe the '25 SBB's are really pleather rather than actual leather?

Same as the OG. Black parts were midI bet some of the panels are decent and others aren’t-seems like a lot of recent GR OG Highs have this problem.

I'm looking at my UNC toes right now, and the SBBs look noticeably more tumbled on your photo.SNKRS shock drop pair. I would say comparable to the UNC Toe. The tongue is nicely padded like the OG. A few inconsistent panels.

At $180-$185 retail they will sit but at around $100 disco they’ll fly tbh.Nike could source any leather in the world, they chose not to replicate the thicker cuts like the 2015 pair which is pretty sad. That being said these will sit and Nike will wonder why

I agree 100%. Hype on the model is simply dead, no amount of "high quality leather" is bringing it back. Cats need to move on, 2015 was 10 years agoNike could use the best leather on these it wouldn’t matter, Ain’t no hype no more. I’m happy as hell cuz I skipped them ten years ago and def wasn’t paying them crazy prices. I’m glad hype is dead, getting closer to how it should be. With that being said I’ll get one for retail and then grab a double if or when they hit sales racks.

I'd argue more so 2013-2019ish. 2020 was when it started to go downhill (to me at least). Colorways started getting weaker and weaker.

theres no way they made this decision not knowing it would get negative criticism. im sure when looking at the big picture this is simply a profit driven move but this was such a big missed opportunity to score some positive marketing points with the customer base. i'd argue they didnt even have to make them exactly them the exact same quality as the OGs but the materials have to be different to set them apart from other standard releases with this color blocking. A new box and themed insole was never going to be enough. They already diluted the shattered back board branding with the 3.0, womens only satins, and "close enough" color ways like the electro orange. This just seems like another soul less corporation move.
Thats said theyre still a nice shoe. theyre just not special anymore.
I remember when SB dunks were extremely hyped in 2006 (post NYCP/Staple drop) and then completely died and then came back again in 2020.I agree 100%. Hype on the model is simply dead, no amount of "high quality leather" is bringing it back. Cats need to move on, 2015 was 10 years ago![]()
