Yeah he had help but then all this hyping up his intelligence was an illusion. That means Lip was never that smart, never a genius, everybody else was just dumb as rocks.
Also, on another note yeah for a while there they put Fiona in the light of the Gallagher with their on their shoulders, keeping the fam together and being level headed but it's pretty clear her ***** ups are due to her love life and she makes incredibly bad decisions. It's like before it was how she reacted to a guy that likes her (Steve, police officer she grew up with) and now since she's in complete control we get to see stuff like her being blackmailed in to smashing her bf's brother

Most kids who get perfect or close to perfect SAT scores skip grades and go to college early/take college classes.
Hell Jimmy got into med school and his hustle game money wise was a lot better than anyone else on the show.

Lip is smart and he could get by High School without studying because he was smarter than the rest, but College is different. He wasn't popular in HS but now in College he feels so alone.

I'm confused too, I get that he didn't have to try hard back in his home town and everyone was impressed with him even when he bs his way through stuff. But the guy was legitimately naturally intelligent. Being paid to take SATs, doing people's taxes, you can't fake that ability. Even when he would go to top notch rich schools in past seasons he stilled bodied the preppy kids. He just isn't used to buckling down, and that could be why his time management abilities are not existent. He still thinks all he needs is 15 mins to study, he will figure it out by midterms and he will fly past everyone.
I bet their is some personal **** going on between them. He is doing this on purpose to hurt his bro. I wonder if he did it before, because the guy said his last girl cheated on him. Would be interesting if it was his brother.
