SEATTLE SEAHAWKS THREAD

Whats the scoop on him bruh?
High motor, talented, good player, dude had a top SPARQ rating which definitely caught the eye of the Hawks (stupid athleticism) and the Hawks love the SPARQ system. Was projected to go early, but got caught up in off field issues and got kicked off the team. Possible replacement for Irvin after he probably leaves next year.

Clark: I'm the one with a man crush on the Seahawks. Especially since @shaunalexander played there.

i'm geeked that we got lockett :hat
Finally got a PR/KR.  This dude is what the FO wanted with Harvin, dude is a baller. Compares similarly to Julian Edelman/Golden Tate , a lot of people are hyped about this pick. FO was very happy about this pick.

Jayson Braddock @JaysonBraddock

Ouch, Seahawks traded up and took Tyler Lockett. That was going to be the Texans pick (they traded up to take WR J. Strong right after Hawks took Lockett)

+1

Hope he keeps his head on straight

other than that, sounds great

Whew. That highlight reel.

Back to back interior lineman picks..

Really excited what this DLine could look like with Clark...especially with Marsh and a healthy Bane coming back..depth will be were it was two years ago.

Watched Lockett film all day today, and man his route running is sick! He compares himself to Antonio Brown, and if hes anything close....boyyyyyyy oh boyyyy.

And really intrigued by O-Boom as well. Curious to see what he can do an/or if they plan to use him on offense

Deflected pass and force fumble on same play...

Signed a mini beast mode in UDFA as well, Thomas Rawles of Central Michigan. Just a camp body though.

Eason? Would have had a better shot if they didnt already have 3 QB's on scholarship..and a top 5 QB from the previous class.

NWG leaving pains me

Hoops program is a mess right now (despite the recruiting class that's coming in)

Excited about this Hawks draft though! Hope that Lockette us utilized as more than just a Devin Hester

Russ' clutch plays compilation.

La Confora also saying Bennett is unhappy.
Michael Bennett: He's kinda sorta tried to say that he didn't really want to be dealt after all, but that's not flying anywhere. He and his agent have made it clear he'd rather not be back in Seattle and while the Seahawks aren't ones to back down, perhaps something emerges that makes sense for all parties prior to the start of the regular season. Kind of odd not to be so happy in a franchise that competes for a Lombardi Trophy, and until or unless the Seahawks put out explicit word that Bennett has permission to speak to other teams, I don't see any clubs nibbling in this era of hyper-sensitivity over tampering regulations. But there's a lot of time between now and September for something to perhaps change.

This is why PC&JS didn't want to restructure Lynch's contract, it sets a bad precedent for the team. Now everyone wants more $.

I say we just keep him and make him play, see if he holds out.  No reason to do otherwise really.

Q:  Is Wilson going to be the NFL's highest-paid quarterback?

A:  Not based on the Seahawks' opening offer. They're willing to pay him more per year than contemporaries like Andy Dalton and Colin Kaepernick, but they have not taken the dramatic step of vaulting him into the top tier of veteran quarterbacks in overall compensation.
Q:  So what about this $120 million deal with half of that guaranteed that some were discussing?

A:  Yeah, that's not happening judging by the opening tenor of negotiations. In fact, the Seahawks haven't put $100 million on the table right now. The offer of a four-year extension is believed to be worth closer to $80 million.

Q:  That sounds like a $20-million-a-year raise.

A:  Depends on how you count it. It would be $20 million a year in the four years being added to the deal. But what about the final year of Wilson's rookie deal, in which he's scheduled to make $1.5 million? If that's still there, you're talking about a five-year deal that will pay just over $80 million.

I dont get why Bennett thinks he's worth more. Did he out play his contract? Not in my opinion!
