**Seattle Mariners 2024 Season Thread ** | ELIMINATED |

I like Seager. I just fear a commitment to Chode means they get rid of Seager who then comes back to haunt them. I think he's a ballplayer.

Really, if Chone can get on base, I have no problems with him playing. Who knows, putting Ichi in the 3-hole might just be what the M's need.
I have no faith in dude. Maybe he shuts me up....maybe

Haha... I hear ya.
But to actually get the most out of Figgy, I guess it would have to be at lead-off.  Given Ichiro's previous season, I think it's a reasonable experiment.

New Ichiro batting stance... wider... shorter stride... perhaps allowing him to lift the ball a bit more?

Gutierrez is already injured. Being shut down for at least 4 weeks with a torn pec. No surgery.

Seager bringing the wood today. 3 for 3 with a homer.

Seager is in a good spot...Chone will either suck and he'll be ready to take his place at 3rd and wouldn't play any worse...or he'll spend most his time in AAA polishing his game for the future....either way he's our guy at 3rd looking ahead

With Carlos's retirement, it should open up a door for Seager... give the kid a shot!

I think it started because Magglio hit a homerun but stood at home plate watching the ball because he thought it would stay foul and Weaver took exception to it thinking he was showboating and started yelling at Ordonez around the bases

Guillen took exception to that and the greatest home run strut was born
Cuts, Round 2: The Prospects
by Jon Shields ~ March 11th, 2012 at 12:55 pm
The Mariners sent 15 players to minor league camp today:

LHSP Danny Hultzen
RHSP Yoervis Medina
RHRP Scott Patterson
LHSP James Paxton
LHSP Mauricio Robles
RHSP Forrest Snow
RHSP Taijuan Walker

C Ralph Henriquez

MIF Nick Franklin
3B Francisco Martinez
INF Carlos Triunfel

OF Chih-Hsien Chiang
OF Joherymn Chavez
OF Darren Ford

DH Luis Jimenez

Interestingly, Erasmo Ramirez survives the cut.  Can he muscle his way into a crowded starting rotation?

There was some buzz earlier in the offseason that Hultzen could make the club out of Spring Training.  Otherwise, nothing unexpected out of this bunch.

The Mariners now have 33 roster players (including the injured Franklin Gutierrez and Adam Moore) and 15 non-roster players competing for 25 spots.

Also sounds like Saunders new swing has been quite beneficial so far

I'm getting that feeling too

Getting to see Carp and Ack with a full year, Smoak after dealing with the death of his father and injuries

I just hope Montero is as advertised

I haven't heard Casper Well's name too much yet? Kid's got some nice power
