the 200 mil part is just for the stadium alone.


So he paid 500 mil for the 80% stake in the team and 200 mil into the 45% of the stadium project in brooklyn.

I think he just bought it cuz he's a bball fan, not purely for financial reasons. And it won't matter if the stadium is built in a year. As long asit's built in the next few years, he can still attract LeBron or any other marquee free agent. In any case, if it's built at all, it's got a goodchance to be hugely profitable for this guy. It doesn't have to be a money pit like a big time soccer club would be. Sure, he could afford a money pit,but if he likes this sport and has a chance to make a ton of money at the same time (go big market team with a salary cap), why not?
