RIP George Floyd

Judge letting the Korean lady go was cause for the LA riots.

I know the liquor store incident happened but it was the jury letting the cops in the Rodney King trial go is what sparked the riots.

Korean lady was the spark. Rodney was the gas. That’s why ktown was hit and why our communities still have animosity towards each other

I hear what you’re saying but it can’t be a coincidence that the riots started the same day the jury acquitted those cops.

I should have said “played a part”. The videos came out right around the same time. 91 she was left off, a few months later the verdict came back.

they didn’t report too much on the protests for the little girl but black community was pissed when the judge let her off.

Idk what to say from that video sometimes you have to let situations play out.

I mean you see a group of people and you start shooting. It makes no sense. Let’s say you were defending yourself and a cop comes and shoots you.

I can’t stand cops but if I’m being completely honest I can’t really blame the cop in this one.

I understand she was the one who called the cops, but there is no caller ID. They don’t know who called. Secondly in the whole clip she was on the offense, stand your ground goes out the window once the threat is away.

That cop pulled up, asked ole girl in the pink what was going on then here comes little girl swinging a knife. Seconds away from stabbing a girl.

There is no excuse for this. Knife attacks are rampant in the U.K. Yet the cops manage to diffuse a lot of these situations without murdering people.

If I were getting attacked with a knife, I don't think I'd want the cops shooting at my assailant. If I get shot by accident, I'd be another statistic of gun violence.

So how many stab wounds are you ok with until the officer can shoot?

If any thing she should have been taser.

We don’t know the full story with the knife. She could of been protecting herself? Looks like she was getting jumped.

The fact that he shot her 4 times and not think to use the taser is disturbing. Not even Pepper Spray?

With the way the cops are trained in this country. I would take my chances with the knife. They shot her 4 times, I'm pretty sure if I got shot once right now I'd be completely debilitated. In this situation if she were close and I was getting assaulted with a knife Im taking my chances with the shank.

And whatever happened to tasers? Why do cops even carry that around if they won't use it. Guns should be reserved for shoot outs not executions.

Apparently the girl was being jumped, she had a knife to defend herself and the cop just comes shooting?

but the other cops first instinct wasn't just to come shooting

That's literally their training. If black, unload clip, ask questions later. White dudes with machine guns get better treatment than this.

To get out the car and immediately start letting off without any attempt to deescalate with a taser is disturbing. I understand she had a knife, but I do believe some alternative could have been used first before putting 4 lethal bullets in the kid.

Do cops not attempt to shoot at knees?

I do believe cops are trained to kill in a shooting situation. Doesn't excuse that by any means but that's the one part of the handbook that I believe is public knowledge.

I think the shooting of black and brown people on sight is more tribal/ cultural education that would obviously never be printed.

Either way RIP to this young lady. Very sad story. Makes me wanna tell my kid to just freeze if ever confronted by a cop. I can't afford for him to take any chances.

Was surprised to see that girls mom and dad there to see their kid get shot. Immediately after unloading you hear the dad ask "did you just shoot my baby?". At that very moment I'd probably be going inside for get back, but I get it.

That’s not on the training manual

The police and Prosecutors are going to blame the girls who tried to jump her with her death. On top of that, once she got close to the other chick with the knife, they can argue that he had right to shoot to prevent bodily harm to someone else cause although the group are the aggressors, she pulled up with a knife even though its a "stand your ground" state.

Why were the parents just standing there letting these girls fight?

I understand if it's your son and another cat scrapping to squash their differences, but definitely not having my daughter out their throwing hands with four girls.

No, there is no training to shoot at the knees. It’s not easy to hit a moving target, mid section is your best option to stop a “threat”. One of the 4 major components of gun safety is knowing what is beyond your target, aim at an upper or lower extremity increases the likelihood of pass through.

please do NOT take my response as me defending the police using deadly force, it’s a response to your knee question.
