Restore on fire red 3's

doing my 1st restore on my fire red 3's... got a question, when i removed the red there was a white underneath that.. so my question is before i paint with the Angelus Fire Red paint do i need to apply a primer or anything or just use the red only?? any tips would help out a lot, thanks

I used the white angelus paint as my base since I painted the white sections as well.

i just used red on the bare white midsole. it stuck better than the white angelus tbh. just use a good finisher.

Did the same thing a while back Angelus paint does the job.
