well i mean besides the fact that if too much control is given to people it would probably cause chaos because of all the different views and beliefs but are their any pros to direct democracy?

Because not enough people care about politics for it to work.
The vast majority of people are content with letting others make the calls, provided they are in line with their broad political beliefs (ie Rep vs. Dem or Lib. vs Conservative)
