5 star guys my @*@ get the hell out of here their bums, unc had 5 star guys.......... those 5 star guys can't even produce a bid in the finalfour....and I know he has 3 chips.....but um the last one was like 2001-2002 its 2009 now

I seriously doubt too many of the Duke players that actually play can get into Duke based on academic merits only.

I don't buy into the argument that one and done players hurt the team.
As it was pointed out, Duke hasn't had a solid front court in years. They are a shooting team, and they always seem to go cold down the stretch.

The thing I really didn't like with this year's Duke team is the fact they held Elliot Williams hostage in hopes of turning him into DeMarcusNelson's successor. Also, I thought Lance Thomas had some promise when he first got recruited, but he never really panned out under K at all.

dude does not recruit 5 star players....they are bust, he recruits ok players that have 5 star quality when it comes to academics

Although hard to believe, Greg Paulus was a 5 star and could of gone to unc, gtown, uf and others, he just did not pan out

Anywhoo, Coach K finds players who can ball. But if they dont succeed as much as they should have he also coaches them in life. The players he recruits thatdont make it to the pros all have nice Jobs after words. And thats how Coach K sets it up. He coaches them with basketball but at the same time sets them upfor later on in life without basketball. Its one of his big deals...read his book, its pretty good.
If you look at kids out of lets say Memphis. If basketball doesnt work out for them after college, they're making 20K a year doin whatever crappy job theredoin.

Jason Wiliams for example. Tragic accident ended his career. Dudes bankin right now, and thats cuz of Coach K.

Not a reach at all...Josh was an underachiever at Duke, then dipped on K early just to end up being drafted in the 2nd round to never be heard from again. GregPaulus went from being the starting PG to a bench warmer, he was also a 5 star/McDonalds All American. Not to mention Duke has been eaten alive by any squadwith athleticism and has been underachieving since they got destroyed by LSU. Coach K isn't developing these players properly. We know Duke has 3championships. It's not what have you done, it's what have you done for me lately. And lately Duke hasn't done anything.
