REAL TALK, What is so bad about GM cars, or rather American cars??

I been hearing for many years that American cars are junk and so forth, but for me to own my first car, which is a 2007 Chevrolet Impala LT and it seems like a well built car. I will say that the older Impala from 2000-2005 looks like it is lower quality compared to the current generation Impala, But what is so bad about American made cars in general??? I t seems like the get hated on to the core.. Can someone give me a complete breakdown on why they are so bad? The newer American cars seem pretty good to me..

I went from a 06 impala ss, to a 2000 impala ss and now i drive a 08 impala ss.... never had any problems with any of them!

what so bad about them is that so many people run into mechanical problems with em.

on this car forum im on, another memeber was talking about a new Camaro that he had recently bought & at 9k, engine blew.

Any car will last you for a long time as long as you maintain it properly, but you can abuse a nissan honda or toyota and not have to rebuild anything. Can't do that with american whip

I think it's the image that everyone has of the lazy union worker
That clouds peoples judgement when it comes to American cars
and that is an inacurate assumption. I'm working my @$& off right now
building Chevy Cruzes. All cars have problems, some just get more attention
than others. American cars are no worse than the foriegn competition so buy a
Cruze and keep a fellow NT'er at work
