They listed them as a "hot kick"? To me, that hardly sounds like it says anything about them re-releasing, but I haven't seen the article. I hope they do.

Who knows what it means. But complex mag had a top 50 sneakers list by some head guy at Nike and he listed this shoe as his #1. yet that translated in no way to an actual release.

then again, why list a shoe thats almost impossible to find as a "hot kick". Is it "hot" because it's rare or is there another story not being told here?

redrum, what do you mean again? I really dont count the limited releases over the years as anything to write home about. Paying those prices plus shipping had many Americans paying $140 for the 2008s. Finding larger sized 2002s was just as difficult. That is less than ideal considering MSRP on GR AT1s sits right around $95. .. yes under $100 for a potential AT1 chloro. Having spent over $110 on multiple AT1s, the days of a cheaper AT1 is like the holy grail of events if it transpires. For years, diehards have been spending $100 plus, so for an actual GR to occur would have profound effects. But I digress

My bad, I was under the impression that these were retro'ed many times like the Infrared 90's.
I have a pair of the '08's that I got for cheap, If they did GR them I would cop another pair or two.

Am hoping that the Air Trainer 1 is brought back next year in some added colorways.  Maybe red/black and obsidian/yellow like the below pair?  Can one of you Trainer 1 experts (i.e. Wally) shed some light on the Trainer 1 below?  I got it off Ebay a few years back and havent been successful in determining when it was made/retro'd, etc.... and if more are out there to be bought and I am just unaware.  Thanks for the news and any further info.

pretty much all I have personally, is that style code inside of the shoe dates it back to late 2000. Was it limited? Widespread? I don't really know how all that went down. Today, you may find one pair in a 3 month span, or go a full year searching and never find it. I've seen maybe 10 pairs TOTAL in 5 years. People tend to call them the AT1 "michigans" due to its navy blue and yellow accents. It's just easy to associate something like that with the University of Michigan. Price wise, don't even ask. I wouldn't be surprised you picked them up for less than $150.. Rare and Trainer doesnt always equal high price. It's a crazy situation. If a dunk, lebron, or kobe were as "rare" as these, you should be looking at $300+. But I guess the demand isn't there.

so far since about 2001, there's been 36 AT1 colorways

It would be great to see the Trainer 1's come back, but I wouldn't take that article to mean they are.

Yeah, it's weird.  In the mag where the shoe section is, they have pics of the 1st general cw of the 'Bron 7's, black/vred JB vi's, AT 1's...it's like a mish-mash of kicks...

confusing to say the least...

At any rate, would love to get a hold of another pair of trainers nonetheless...

per usual..Wally is spot on.  I wish these dang shoes were "easier" to get.  I have a pair of the 08 international release that I had to pay over retail for and would love a nice GR like the recent infrareds to pop off so I can pick up another pair or 2.

I have a couple "chlorophyl tribute" shoes, like the Air Trainer +1ND and my own custom NikeID trainer I custom made to look like the chlorophyls.
