Just as far as the strings go 

 were looking to make them a bit smaller as well as the string length. You can try to wash and dry it to make it shrink but I dunno how the gold pieces will hold up. If you do wash and dry, you can take off the center gold piece so that doesnt get ruined. Also let me know how it goes if you do dry, Ive washed and dried my clip ones but have yet to experiment with the adjustable ones.
