I never thought I see the day NT not speaking on a new Future album. Yeah that album is stale as hell.

Not just here, but I've heard so many mixed messages about how good it is. The reality is that people moving on from it so quickly gave me the true answer.

I don't recall an album that seemed to be so polarizing.

I've said in here a couple of times that I like Doggystyle better. It also seemed to age better.

Man, I go back and forth with this.

It depends on the week you ask me honestly. It might depend on which I heard last.

I wouldn't be mad at anyone who said either

It doesn't get much better than this.

Kurupt's flow on this is underrated.

I don't even know what Dre was thinking, because this would be a beat that would get passed on if you just heard the instrumental.

That's why it's producers and beat makers and I haven't heard THIS from Daz.

and making a classic compilation album, and I don't like compilation albums. The common denominator is Dre.

Can't go wrong either way. Overall, I'd say Doggystyle by a hair.

But of my favorite songs of the two Chronic has my fav joint.

I didn’t jump on the MF Doom bandwagon till Mad Villainy then I went back and listened to his old discography. I was big on CD then and went out of my way to hunt for a copy of Doomsday which had stopped printing by then.

The dudes production was low key unappreciated. Ghost jumped on several of his beats after listening to Doom’s Special Herb collection:

My guess is that its a greatest hits show based on yesterday’s performance (he also performed some of the same songs/mixes on Saturday & Sunday). That said, he did say during yesterday's show that "I'll see you next Summer." I suspect he's doing the JayZ30 shows and teeing up an album + concert for next year.

I think the album coming on his birthday which is on a Friday this year. Sets up the super bowl similar to what Dot did with GNX. Tour would then start late April early May.

On one hand in the early 90's on one end of the spectrum you had Dre and the other you had RZA and The Beatminerz. I always thought Dre was digital and he also helped RZA and Walt and Evil Dee become popular with the grimey analog sound, because it was something different.

I’ve always seen it as that east coast sound was inspired by soul music/motown , real instrumentation off grainy vinyl. Whereas the west coast sound was more inspired by electronic funk, a lot of synths and effects.

Doggystyle aged slightly better but in terms of impact The Chronic easily takes it - absolutely one of the 5 most important rap albums of the 90’s.
