Salute to Grimey for the 69 tirade though. In hindsight I really can’t believe that was a moment in hip hop for real.
Gillie/Philly inspired Wayne is his apex hands down. He always had the charisma and mic presence but that lil extra inspiration (and possible references ) filled it out
Looking back it really was a interesting mix of east coast and down south sensibilities
Post-Carter 2 Wayne (when he started going away from that style) is basically a caricature , outside of random bright spots like No Ceilings etc

I get that Suge put him on and put on a lot of people but I think he showing Suge a little too much love. Suge did a lot of ****ed up and stupid ****. Got people beat up and killed and raped.
